southern california's biggest wild fire continues to grow and the hot dry weather is not helping. a task force targeting child pornography. leads to the arrest of 40 people in new jersey. he is the world's fastest man and makes it look so easy. the science behind the speed of usain bolt. and now the wild fire in los angeles, it has burned 43,000 square miles and other fires continue to burn as well. here is the latest on the massive wild fire fight. >> reporter: sara, more red flag warnings issued today because of the gusty winds and high heat. another town threatened as this fire continues to wreak havoc on the area. >> this is the biggest flair-up we see so far this morning.
>> reporter: the blue cut fire still out of control coming dangerously close to homes and a major freeway. fueled by intense winds crews are trying to keep the fast moving forward from devouring dry brush. right now cal fire is saying it charred 31,000 acres, 34,000 homes are still in jeopardy. in san diego firefighters attack another fire by air. >> we had roughly two minutes to get out of the house. they were yelling and screaming at us get out now. >> that one 50% contained. to the north the clayton fire is slowing down around 4,000 people around the area near san francisco returning home. >> reporter: no word on when the evacuation will be lifted here, but when it is, people are
hoping they don't see this when they return home. channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. now, to our forecast, we are finally getting relief from the excessive heat but it's still sticky outside. lets look live at sky 6 hd at cape may. accuweather says that a major break in the heat is coming. david murphy is out on the terrace with all the details from accuweather. >> reporter: we have the splash of sunshine on the terrace but it feels fairly humid out here and if you have plans to get out and run or outdoor work, you want to keep the cool drinks handy and more humid through the region the farther south we go. rain came through the region and we had a few thunderstorms laugh night. and to the west showers are popping up north and west and some of those may pop into the northern suburbs later tonight.
with the sun breaking out there is room for some improvement in the temperature, 79 in central park in new york city. down south down to 86 in washington. dew points right now are still relatively high in philadelphia at 69 and just out of the oppressive range, even better in the northern suburbs and down south are you in oppressive territory with dew points in the 70s. and here is the model, a high around 88 and i'll go 89 and there are some models that push it all the way up to 90 if we manage to stay in the upper 80s we'll end the heat wave. but it's a tech quality, because it will be fairly warm. by 10:00 we are down into the 70s and overnight down into the mid-70s. sara, when i step inside we'll talk more about where the humidity levels and temperature are going into the weekend. it looks like we get into the

17,000 illegal images and videos, christopher perino says that child pornography is not a victimless crime. >> it directly drives the sexual abuse of children by creating a demand and market for these materials and it revictimizes the children in a very, very real way every time the images are viewed. >> now they give a tour of the computer lab where investigators examine evidence. john rawlins will have more on that on "action news" at 4:00. this is danny irv, of hatboro, montgomery county, he was charged with several counts of sex assault, involving a young female student, the allege sd assault started when she was 8 years old and continued for three years. irv is held on a half million dollars bail.
firefighters battled a house fire after the flames broke ought at 12:00 a.m. on north new kirk street. the fire started on the first floor of the two story home. nobody was hurt and the cause is under investigation. a man stole cash and an iphone and i.d. of a woman at a chinese takeout store in logan. it was caught on surveillance video inside of the store on the 4700 block of north broad street. the suspect reached into the woman's purse and he fled on foot. still more to come on "action news" at 12:30, just when you thought it couldn't get any bigger, the king of prussia mall expands again, get your hands on clothes and bags and jewelry created by emerging local designers. alicia vitarelli takes us shopping when we return.
