jersey community find disturbing messages promoting racism and homophobic views. there's a live look at the benjamin franklin parkway the flags are flapping. wind gusts could exceed 2350 miles per hour today. david murphy is taking a look at the weather and karen rogers is looking at the commute. i was thinking on e way in it's a northwest wind, on it is terrace it's swirling around. there's a high wind warning in south jersey and delaware advisory across southeastern pennsylvania and north jersey. this goes until 6:00 p.m. tonight. along the way we'll get wind gusts in the 40 and 50-mile an hour range maybe stronger along the shore. trees and wires are coming down across the region, be careful of debris on the roadways. keep the sunglasses handy we'll get sun up over the horizon the

except for the strong wind creating problems. we have lots of reports of downed wires police are saying in lower merion watch out for wynnewood road near city avenue. several reports of downed wires with the gusty winds. that problem in thorndale, sweet water road, briar lane bound poles and wires, as well. southbound traffic heading toward the schuylkill expressway. as you're traveling on the vine you can see the camera shaking. be careful up and over the bridges with high profile vehicles. without for debris on the roads. >> with the wind advisory in effect officials in philadelphia are urging property owner to take precaution tie down things that could blow away. that applies to construction sites where loose buildings materials are kept up on the

the scene of a fallen tree blocking the roads. looks like the branches could be resting on wireless. that tree came down around 4:00 a.m. in the high winds at the intersection of ashbourne road and new second street. there are numerous reports of trees and wires down throughout the county. we have not heard of any reports of injuries. back along the benjamin franklin parkway you can hear the flags as they whip from the heavy wind gusts, use caution as you head out the door this morning, you could see flying debris in the streets. we're live along tay, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> really can hear it. a man in a wheelchair was watching tornado watch inside his north philadelphia home when a bullet shot through his window hiim in the chest. it happened along the 1400 block popular street. police say there was a small group of people inside the 61-year-old victim's home when an argument broke out. two people left, a short time later, the 61-year-old was shot,
