seven-day forecast in ten minutes or so. >> look forward to the update, thank you so much. 7:02 a.m. tensions are running high between the u.s. and north korea. the country celebrated the day of the sun the birth of the country's founding father. third generation kim jong un was there to witness the celebration. the parade included ballistic missiles and tank and rocket launchers. the celebration took place amid concerns that north korea is preparing for a nuclear test or rocket launch. chuck severson has the details. >> reporter: u.s. aircraft battle group steaming toward the region and the american troops conducting exercises at the south korean border, kim jong un got a standing ovation from his top military leaders. the eve of a holiday celebrating the bitter of north korea

they choose. now china is warning of gathering storm clouds saying we urge all parties to refrain from inadam -- inflammatory statements or deeds. >> philadelphia fire marshal investigating an early-morning fire in west philadelphia at 4:15 a.m. in the 14 hunt block of north hurst street. flames were shooting from a second floor of a row home. a woman and her dog were removed from the home. the woman was not injured. the dog was injured and getting care from red paws an organization that helps pets displaced by fire. police identified two women killed by a crash on the boulevard. the horrific scene happened yesterday. 40-year-old and 25-year-old were riding in an suv when it slammed into a parked truck around 9:00 a.m. the driver of the suv survived,
he is currently recovering in the hospital. police say he was trying to pass in slow traffic and did not see the tractor-trailer parked in the right lane. the truck was parked legally. the driver stopped to get sleep as is required by the law. chopper 6 hd flew over edgemont township, delaware county where a car slammed into a tree. crews rushed three people to the hospital. so far their conditions have not been released. pennsylvania state police responded to the scene on valley road at middletown road at 7:00. investigator are trying to figure out why the car veered off the road. montgomery county district and the pennsylvania attorney general have charged an alleged drug dealer with killing one of his clients not by violence, but by providing him with the opioids that led him to overdose. officers arrested 44-year-old angel leon on criminal homicide charge of drug delivery
resulting in death. the second time the charge has been filed this year. it carries a pent up to 40 years in prison. >> drug dealers in pennsylvania should be on notice if heroin mixed with fentanyl is a killer, if you kill a buyer we're going to hold you accountable. >> investigators say 52-year-old roger korfmann od'd on the deadly cocktail in upper merion february 23. increase the security will takes place at a community carve val after two teens were attacked tuesday night. this is the video. when the boy she was on a date with he jumped into help her he was pummeled, as well. carnival owners say they have been coming here every spring
for 6 years and never had an incident like this before. >> this morning the search is on for the person responsible for killing a bucks county family pet. bucks county spca offering a 1,000-dollar reward to catch the killer of this cat here. the cat is named scooby. authorities say it happened between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on monday in bensalem. >> it was a beautiful orange tiger cat that was friendly with the people in the apartment complex that he lived in. well-known amongst the children and other neighbors. very much loved by his owner. >> at this point, officers say they don't have a whole lot to go on since the shooting happened while the cat was roaming outside, and came back home with the bullet injury. the spca asking for help to solve the case. fbi is joining in the investigation in the double murder of a maple shade mother
and her son. 38-year-old and her 6-year-old son was found stabbed to death in their home in the fox meadow apartment last month. the husband made the gruesome discovery after returning home from a work-related gathering. he and his wife immigrated from india to work for an i-t company. a fire yesterday did not injury anyone, but destroyed a barn. it started at canter hill farms on valley hill road. no people hurt, also no animals were hurt. look at this, this is a story that had a whole lot of people talking this morning. philadelphia police officers took on the role of some urban cowboys. they were trying to corral the runaway horse right there. no lass0s, the horse named big
mama, escaped a riding club in the city's strawberry mansion section. somebody forgot to lock the stable door. big mama was a able to run free for several miles before officers caught up with her. the owners say they will double check to make sure the stable door is locked. i had a chance to cover the story and big mama is doing just fine. the local woman known for founding the white dog cafe is working to make philadelphia greener. find out how in the art of aging. a teen's love for chicken nuggets has gone viral. what he had to achieve to get free nuggets for an entire year. >> reporter: that's a lot of

chocolate advisory alerts goes into effect tomorrow. the warmest easter i could find over the last 20 years was 2011 we hit 84. we're forecasting a high of 85. next week rain chances are minimum the early part of next week. we see wet weather returning wednesday, thursday, friday, as the system stalls overtop of the delaware and lehigh valleys. the weekend looks dry, but things change next week. when i come back in a few minutes we'll talk about the wet weather heading this way next week and the unseasonable warm temperatures tomorrow. >> 7:32, the time this morning. an alleged drug dealer in montgomery county is in jail. police say he killed one of his clients by providing him with opioids that led to an overdose. bob brooks complains it's -- explains it's how authorities are holing drug dealers responsible. >> reporter: this is roger korfmann last month he passed
away. he was found dead by a made dead inside the hyatt house hotel in upper merion. he overdosed on a combination of heroin and fentanyl. montgomery county d.a. and upper merion police arrested his drug killer angel leon. >> we're going after people who are dealing drug and looking at them as homicide cases. >> reporter: by tracking korfmann's cell phone text they found leon and raided his house on the boulevard in philadelphia. they found heroin, loaded pistol, cash, a scale with heroin residue. montgomery county district attorney general charged him with the death. the opioid epidemic is growing out of control. fentanyl is 50 times more powerful than heroin and
flooding the streets. >> montgomery county alone, 249 people died of overdoses last year. >> once the users find out someone died from an overdose, they want to go buy that bag. >> reporter: steel along with attorney general josh shapiro say the charges should serve as a warning to all drug dealers in the montgomery county and the state. >> drug dealers in pennsylvania should be on notice that heroine mixed with fentanyl is a killer. if you kill a buyer, we are going to hold you accountable. >> you hear drug dealers have been put on notice, officials say if you know someone battling addiction you should do your best to help them and call the cops on them if you have to. reporting in norristown, bob brooks, channel 6 "action news." >> in montgomery county, one person was trapped inside a house fire. this happened last night in lansdale. the fire started at 6:30 in the 700 block of abbey lane. thankfully firefighters rescued
the victim. medics transported the person to the hospital. we do not know the victim's condition. police are not releasing details about the investigation. a neighbor told "action news" he saw officers take a man into custody in handcuffs. investigators were on the scene we know for five hours. new information to tell you about this morning, one man is dead another in critical condition after a double shooting in camden, new jersey. this happened in the 600 block of viola street around 11:30 p.m. we know crews rushed a 50-year-old man to cooper hospital with gunshot injuries to his chest and leg. he was pronounced dead a short time later. a second unidentified man also taken to cooper, but this person transported in a private car. sources tell "action news" that man was shot multiple times. so far police have not arrested anyone. it is not clear what led up to the shooting. new this morning, an overnight crash in the city's fishtown section sent a man to the hospital. here's the scene here, police
tell "action news" the driver lost control of the red car in the are 15 or 1400 block of beach street. it happened at 2:00 a.m. the car hit a curb and roll over and trapped the driver inside. firefighters were able to free the victim. he was taken to hanheman hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 7:36 a.m. hang overseas, japan's foreign minister said the country need to remain on alert when it comes to north korea even after the celebration there. missiles were rolled out on the truck in pale yank -- pyongyang celebrating the 105th anniversary of the country. there are concerns that north korea will conduct another under
grounder nuclear test. we'll keep watching it for you. an afghanistan official said number of isis militant killed in an attack by the u.s. military has jumped to 94. the u.s. commander in afghanistan ordered the use of the so-called of mother of all bombs. that blast happened thursday. they say the general john nicholson did not need the approval in at advance from president trump. the blast destroyed the cave and tunnel complex used by isis to move around the region. confusion turned into pandemonium at penn station new york city. the dram -- drama played out last night. an officer started screaming and people heard what they thought was a gunshot. that sent hundreds scrambling
scattering in different directions even above to the city streets. but we are told there was never any shooting. we learned that amtrak police officer used a taser on a ben franklin -- passenger who was refusing orders. >> given our experience dealing with similar situations we quickly reviewed all the 911 calls and determined there were no actual shots fired. witnesses reported feeling terrified as a wave of people ran towards them. you can imagine what they were going through there, many saying they didn't know what was happening they were following the crowd. 16 people were hurt, none of the injuries were serious. happening right now police in knew -- newtown township bucks county are working to track down vandals who damaged neighborhood businesses. this is surveillance video released by police. the group went along sycamore street and damaged businesses.
the video captured the vandals in action. they are seen tossing a bench that bounced back hitting the suspect in the red shirt. they dented the market's compressor and snapped a small tree. business owners believe it is only a matter of time before the crime is solved. >> they are going to get caught the cops will put the puzzle together. >> knew town police tell "action news" they have at least one person of interest in the case. we'll keep you posted. 7:40 p.m. a candidate for new jersey assembly losing republican support after a video surfaced of him making vulgar comments of a bar in wildwood. the ten second video clip shows him making a sexual prongs to a a -- proposition to a woman at a bar. the cumberland county gop and cape may county gop dropped their backing of the former
