the finals. first at 11:00, we're following multiple breaking news stories. in just the last 15 minutes we learned a police officer has been shot and killed in virginia near washington d.c. two other officers are injured. our sister station wjla is reporting officer ashley ginden was gunned down deur ago domestic-related shooting in prince william county. according to the police
was just sworn into the department yesterday. officers say a domestic call for an argument came in around 5:30 this afternoon. neighbors say they heard gunshots and screams and saw police running with guns drawn. one person is in custody tonight. we'll continue to monitor this situation and bring you any new information on air and online. in just the last 30 minutes traffic on i-85 northbound lanes started moving near north graham street, but this is what it looked like after a two-car accident cause major traffic backups for about a half hour tonight. we've just confirmed no one was hurt and nobody is facing charges tonight. in just the last 90 minutes police told channel 9 a 14-year-old was shot in west charlotte. it happened along toddville road at esther lane. eyewitness news reporter daeshawn brown is there right now. what can you tell us? >>reporter: well, it is in the

carolina primary with a commanding lead. >> today you sent a message. >> hillary clinton beat out bernie sanders in tonight's primary. here's a look at the final numbers. clinton won 73% of the vote, vote. thanks for joining us. we have team coverage of tonight's primary from a local watch party to sanders' next move and the excitement inside the clinton camp tonight. we start with eyewitness news reporter greg suskin who was in speech. >>reporter: i'd say this was a big win tonight for the hillary clinton campaign, certainly an understatement it was a massive win, launching this campaign into super tuesday. she was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd here in colombia, an one thing that was very telling how early she spoke. she was out here speaking by 7:45. that's as early as i've ever heard a candidate speak at one
now, her speech tonight struck a very positive note talking about the future, working together for a better future. she also hit on two major groups she wants to vote for her, young people and women. she said isn't it time for equal pay for equal work, getting a large cheer from this crowd. she also talked about making college more affordable and the ability to raise children in an environment with better jobs and better economy, pushing forward the work she said president obama has already started. here's a little bit of what she had to say. >> we did build ladders of opportunity and empowerment so every single american can have that chance to live up to his or her god-given potential. >>reporter: and clinton's often been accused of being robotic in her speeches, but tonight she spoke very personally to this crowd, even quoting the bible and how the nation needs more love and kindness. it was very quiet here when she say those wors, but she talked about how personal she took this specific race, saying after tonight this campaign launches nationally.
