killed. this time an innocent first grader, king carter. >> over the past 12 months alone, over 100 children have been shot over the st 12 months alone. 24 kids were killed! only a fraction of those have been solved. rep the little boy was shot and killed saturday in broad daylight while playing outside in his northwest miami-dade neighborhood. just blocks away from his elementary school. this on the heels of another rally held friday where school leaders, parents and pastors made a call to action asking community members to call their lawmakers so they can get a bill passed that will help protect witnesses. >> my fear is another mother will be crying in a few weeks. >> but becoming a reality all

a video of one of the crews rescuing two people who who wentntoverboard. crews say the boaters are inexperienced in dealing with bad weather. they say when they arrived the woman could barely keep her head above water. >> jeff: also in the news tonight, police releasing the mugshot of a sinister suspect. this after innocent people become the targets of the shooting spree when a gunman opens fire at random. a man started driving around and shooting people.. we're now learning tonight the accused shooter was a driver with uber. >> we had multiple people messaging us telling us ght downtown there's a killer going around. >> a night downtown turning into a nightmare after police

opened fire at random killing 6 people and seriously injuring 2 others. >> they weren't targeted for any reason other than they werere there to be a target. they were shot multiple times. >> according to authorits it spanned 3 different locations. the first an apartment complex where the woman was shot 4 times. she remains in serious condition. seral hours later, police say dalton opened fire again at a car dealership where two men were shot and killed. and minutes later 4 people were gunned down in the parking lot of a cracker barrel restaurant. a 14-year-old girl also shot in critical conditioio it would take police two more hours before catching up to dalton. >> the suspect vehicle was spotted in kalmazoo by the sheriff's deputy and the vehicle was followed at a short distance and eventually it will stop and the driver was indeed identified as our suspect. he was taken into custody. >> reporter: a source with

says police believe dalton was an uber driver and picked up passengers in between the ootings. he's expected to be arraigned in court on monday afternoon. >> the nextmost important thing is to reassure everyone that there is no continuing threat for the safety of this community. >> the ride share company confirms that dalton was one of their drivers but the company not confirming information that came out on social media, that he was woing on the night of the attacks. >> in the race for the white house the democratic candidates turning their focus now to south carolina. republican donald trump winning g there this weekend. and now the gop field is getting smaller with former florida governor jeb bush dropping out. >> there's nothing easy about running for president. i can tell you. it's tough. it's nasty. it's mean. it's vicious.

that were caught on camera. a reckless driver bringing traffic to a standstill on san francisco's bay bridge. cell phone video shows the car doing donuts across several lanes. witnesses saa pickup truck was trailing the vehicle as someone filmed the stunt. the video later surfaced online and caught the atteion of police. >> san francisco chp units actually responded to the scene. by the time we got there, though, no vehicles were located that were do the side show. >> it's shown with bay area movement. >> not only can the participants be seriously injured or killed, but the more importantly innocent bystanders. it's a real and serious danger. >> participants seen and one person previously seen throwing

gorgeous sunset happening. as we go into the rest of the night we're in the 70s and 73 currently in miami. 74 fort lauderdale and also for hours. 13 mph in miami as well as in key west and gusts picking up at 18 mph. and still have that beach breeze going and anticipate intoed tomorrow as well. take a look at the big view with the line of showers all associated with the front that's stretching all the way from texas towards the northehet with the push of stationary front continuing to move a little bit closer towards us. now the cold front with the tail end of that system will start to make its way towards south florida for the week ahead. isolated showers for later on tonight could see a few of those but tomorrow as well with more sunshine but then that's when we start to have those showers really rolling in for tuesday. so rain is very likely into the
