police are looking for the person who shot a man in newport

officers were out patrolling last night when they heard several gunshots. officers then got a call of a shooting on 31-st and oak avenue when they got there -- they found a 25-year old man shot. he was conscious but was taken to the hospital and may not survive. if you have any information call the crime line. new this morning a seven-11 was robbed early this morning in virginia beach. this happened right around one this morning on holland road near south rosemont road. it )s back open now -- but investigators say around one, a guy walked in -- got some cash and ran away. no one was hurt. dispatchers confirm that officers did catch the guy. the navy is addressing concerns about water safety near fentress airfield in chesapeake. that )s because of reports last month that water on base was contaminated. dozens of people showed up to the meeting last night to voice their concerns about whether their water is safe to drink. in the meeting he navy talked about their plans to test private wells around

testing on private wells will begin today and results are expected next month. for anyone in that area concerned about their water - a free water filling station has been set up on mount pleasant road. action for your health. a startling announcement from health officials concerning the zika virus. texas medical workers say the c-d-c confirms a case of the zika virus was transmitted through sexual contact in dallas this year. they say a patient was infected with the virus after having sexual contact with someone suffering from the illness. this raises new concerns about the spread of the virus that )s linked to birth defects. a student at william and mary was recently diagnosed with the zika virus

lovell. she s the thirteen year old girl who was found dead on a north carolina street saturday. lovelll s family says she blocked her bedroom door with a dreesser and climbed out a window last wednesday. her mother tried to describe the daughter she called co-lee yesterday. outcue: ".. underway--offici als say a plane was able to land safely after an explosion. the explosion happened on daallo airlines flight d-31-59. while flying over africa between 12 and 14- thousand feet high passengers say they heard an explosion in the cabin of the plane. even though two people were injured the pilot was able to land safely. initial tests of the damage came back positive for explosive residue. newschannel three is taking action for saint jude children s
