happening right now: "next year" is... this year... after a 108 year drought, the chicago cubs are finally world series champions.as to be expected.. the celebrating hasn't ended. cubs fans erupted in the streets of chicago just before midnight after a dramatic series that went to extra innings in game seven.inside progressive field in cleveland chicago fans celebrated in the stands.not even a downpour was going to dampen their spirits as they celebrated stadium long after the game was over. next up... the cubs parade in chicago. details haven't been figured out just yet.. but that will surely be a spectacle. the milwaukee county board today set to vote on whether to raise the minimum wage for county workers and contractors to 15 dollars an hour. the measure is expected to pass and be signed into law by the county executive. pete zervakis is live with what

the proposal before the county board this morning calls for a raise in milwaukee county's "living wage ordinance" to 15 dollars an hour. for the last two years... the ordinance has used a formula to set the minimum wage for county workers and contractors. this year: that comes out to $11 dollars and 68 cents an hour. but the proposed increase in the living wage floor d hour by 2021. after that... the minimum wage would rise at the rate of inflation. again - to reiterate - this would apply to county employees... and those contracted to do business with the county. the measure passed the finance and audit committee unanimously. this morning's full county board meeting begins at 9:30.

the brown deer officer charged with shooting a man in the back will be back in court today.officer devon kraemer is charged with aggravated battery and use of a dangerous weapon. it stems from a march incident when 26-year-old manuel burnley junior was arrested after an altercation on a milwaukee county bus. she told detectives she feared for her safety and shot burnley once in the back while trying to arrest him on the ground. ifvi to 20 years in prison. a father and his three- year-old found themselves caught in the middle of a high speed chase in butler.and the suspect turned out to be a bank robber on the run. dustin zellmer and his son were stopped at a red light at 124th and hampton tuesday when they saw a van coming towards them. zellmer says the man behind the wheel was driving recklessly and speeding. and missed them in the last second. 16:42:33 the tire of the van was tucked up in the wheel while he was going turning so
