buccaneers have dismissed head coach lovie smith. 10 sports director dave wirth says this comes as a surprise. it's a shocker... among the biggest in buccaneer history. yes, the bucs were only 8-24 in lovie smith's two years as head coach... and his defense sprung a lot of

that the team was making progress... there was improvement... from 2 to 6 wins. but lovie is out... with 3 years left on his contract. the bucs co- chairman joel glazer released this statement saying in part "this decision was difficult on a variety of levels. i am disappointed that we were not more successful these past few seasons, but we are committed to doing what is necessary to give our fans the winning team they deserve." there had been some criticism of lovie... specifically the defense. but it was generally thought that another change this quickly, would not add anything to the continuity of the franchise. with a franchise quarterback in place, the coaching staff seemed to be status quo... lovie would get at least another year to straighten out the defense, that was the consensus. the search will now start for a new head coach. there are plenty of unemployed coaches out there. but the early favorite is to promote dirk koetter to head coach...to koetter to head coach...to keep some continuity

secure? opening hotel room door with room key. we checked into half a dozen hotels in four states across the country.. and tested multiple in-room safes. ping phone in white safe. beep, beep, beep.. the question: do these numbers keep the thieves out moske: "looking at the doors, let's see which one is unlocked.." mike moske is a private investigator with "on the watch" investigations. moske: "i'd better lock these things up." "..put them in the safe." he spent a quarter century running hotel and resort security. q: "in your experience, how much of hotel theft is the staff and not someone from outside?" mike moske on the watch investigations "probably about 60 percent, 70 percent." q: "is inside?" a: "majority of the time, yeah." locking door and latch. you lock the door but the staff already has access to your room.. tight opening hotel door with room key.. so which employees have access to the safe? we put my wallet and some cash inside.. closing.. and set the code as a random number we purposely didn't write down. then told the staff we were locked out. "maintenance." within 10 seconds of the maintenance man entering our hotel room.. he punched in the
