the music world this sad news out of the music world this morning.. david bowie has died after an 18 month battle with cancer. the iconic singer whose career spanned five decades was surrounded by family. he was 69 years old. happening today--a big change coming to how often your trash is picked up. the city of clearwater is one of the latest cities in the tampa bay area to move to once-a- week trash collection. city leaders say one reason for the switch--more and more people are recycling. and that lessens the need for twice-a- week pickup. 10 news reporter emerald morrow is live at the city's solid waste facility. emerald, not everyone welcomes the change. - jenny, not at all - some neighbors say they need their garbage picked up twice a week - and they're particularly worried about how this is going to go over in the summer

motel in massachusetts. it destroyed 16 rooms on two floors and a few cars in the parking lot. the fire broke out just hours before 20 guests there had to get ready for a wedding. the bridesmaids lost all their dresses in the fire. thankfully, a different wedding party was also staying in the motel. the fire didn't damage those dresses, so the bridesmaids offered up their dresses for them to use for the big day. get this, both brides chose navy blue. jury selection begins today in the civil trial against general motors...and their faulty ignition switches. that tops your headlines around
