i'm allison kropff. and i'm ian reitz. the stage is set. we are just hours away from the third and last presidential debate. as the candidate prepare for tonight's debate.. both will try to take the focus away from their looming controversies. trump's multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment...and clinton's so-called quid-pro-quo deal with the fbi over her email scandal. the latest batch of emails published by wikea aides mocking former rival bernie sanders. university of nevada las vegas professor jacob thompson thinks tonight's event could be even uglier than the last town hall style debate: according to the new york times...the candidates families reportedly won't shake hands as they enter the arena

dallas mavericks, mark cuban, will be one of hillary clinton's guests. trump plans to bring the kenyan- born half-brother of president obama. and get ready for fireworks to fly. tonight's debate is sure to get heated. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck is live at regal theatre at citrus park town center mall in tampa. sarah, people can watch the debate there for free tonight. yes, both at this theatre and the regal in pinellas park. it's a really cool option to watch it on the big screen sorrounded by other people--and it won't cost you a dime. the stage is set in las vegas for tonight's showdown. and..this final presidential debate is expected to be a doozy. you thought the candidates were feisty during the last debate, wednesday night's is expected to be even more fiery. 10news political analyst lars hafner says this is unlike any other final presidential debate

length of time, you know the area needs a lot of attention when it comes to roads and transportation. and today, county commissioners are taking a big vote to get more money to fix the problems. 10news reporter emerald morrow is live at the hillsborough county center on east kennedy in tampa. emerald, today's vote could mean tampa. emerald, today's vote could mean millions for transportation in the area. - yeah, if commissioners can pass a vote this morning here at the county center, it would mean 600 million dollars for transportation area. - some of the money would go toward safety improvements like new signals and better intersections.... - and the rest of the money would go toward projects like resurfacing and widening roads, as well as adding in automated traffic systems. - nearly 350 million of the 600 million is supposed to go toward relieving congestion...59 million dollars would go to intersection

improvements, including the new signals. - county commissioners in favor of spending the 600 million say they've got to pass this measure because the transportation problem is so bad in the county, that we will continue to see things get worse if we don't do something now. - but critics of this plan say there's been a disregard for taxpayers in this plan...and one of the biggest things that makes them upset is that there's no money in all of this for mass transit. - they say the plan encourages suburban sprawl while doing nothing to help public transportation. - but county commsi as transparent as possible with this plan. - at 5:30, i'll explain what else has critics fired up about this plan, and why commissioners say its'a ll over nothing. - back to you. a new pool of mosquitoes have tested positive for the zika virus in the miami beach area. officials say the new pool is in a place that used to be a zika transmission zone. some parts of miami beach still remain an active zika infection zone this morning.

the virus...including some right here in the bay area. new warnings this morning about kids and codeine. the 'american academy of pediatrics' now says to avoid it altogether because of reports of dangerous side effects and even deaths. dr. rachel dawkins is the medical director of the general pediatrics clinic at johns hopkins all childrens hospital. she says codeine is prescribed not only for pain, but as an ingredient in cough medicines. dr. dawkins says if your child is prescribed codeine.. make sure you ask a lot of questions. in a few hours, there will be another place for you to shop at tampa international airport. it's called news link. it's a convenience store that will carry 10 brands exclusively from the bay area. it will be located at airside c, next to the entrance to the airside c shuttle. these upgrades are part of a near- billion renovation

right now, crews in southern colorado are still trying to fight off a wildfire. five homes have been destroyed in the junkins fire. hundreds of families are still out of their homes this morning. fire crews say it's reached more than 25 square miles. they discovered the flames started when strong winds blew a metal shed into power lines. the fire is still not contained. this is disturbing to hear. an employee cafeteria at a walt disney world hotel was closed for one day after healthin and fruit flies. according to health inspectors 14 live roaches were found near hot boxes at the walt disney world swan hotel employee cafeteria. in a food prep area, inspectors found fruit flies and other insects. this happened on october 12th. the cafeteria was back open on the 13th after a clean inspection. as his time of being president gets closer to ending, president obama hosted his last state dinner. the obamas hosted the italian prime minister and his wife. as always, it was
