>> good morning. taking a look at your drive in broward county we have construction going on lanes i-95 and sheridan street, you can see traffic shift to get this shoulbe clearing up within the next half hour and 45 minutes. let's take you to the maps more broward. 826 southbound add kendall drive, all lanes are completely blocked off. you're going to have to follow the detour that is posted. then we also have construction going on, more construction, in broward county, johnson street between north dixie highway and 21st avenue. it's shut down, take fillmore street instead. a car is out of the water after going into a wild crash course plunging into a canal. dive teams have spent the night searchers for survivors. we understand two people didn't make it. two more are in the hospital. nbc 6 michael spears has an

we've been wondering how are they doing and how did this happen? >> reporter: right now, we know one person is in critical condition and two people are pronounced dead. as far as how this happened, that's exactly how investigators are trying to piece together. we have images of that car, brand-new video of the car being pulled out of the canal. police confirming two people dead. a total of four people are dead in the canal. investigators say it happened at northwest 44th street and emery boulevard. when investigators arrived, they say one person was actually sitting on the embankment. able to swim out on their own. three people had to be pulled out by the dive team and two victims did not make it. at this time, we're working to find out more about the victims. one of the victims is a miner. we're not clear if the minor died or the minor is the person in the hospital. so a lot of questions from

together exactly what happened. part of that includes taaing to witnesses. we just talked to one neighbor who described the scene. lauderhill police say if you know anything, or around this area around 8:00 p.m., last night, they want to hear from you. call police immediately. michael spears, nbc 6 news. >> breaking for you overinside, hollywood, california, legendary rock star david bowie has died after an 18-month battle with cancer. few details are known except that the singer passed away, quote, peacefully. and that information came from his family. a showman of rock 'n' roll, a career spanning four decades. he was 69 years old when he passed and had just released his 47th album "black star" and "black star" got stng reviews.

connected. now, officers also tell us that all three separate shootings saturday evening within the city of miami. now, the firstshooting was on the northwest second court. officers say one man was shot multiple time and taken to jmh condition. now, minutes later on northwest 9th avenue and 69th street, gunshots ng out in an empty field. 15-year-old alder hill was shot multiple times. he, too, was taken to h but died shortly after arriving. then around 10:15, as detectives were still on the scene where that teenager was shot. they heard more gunshots this time on northwest 55th street. the victim was 29-year-old jaquon leonard. he died at jmh. >> we're seeing these situations happen way too often. we need the community to come together and call us with information. >> reporter: no arrests have been made in this case.

with no precipitation. all of that well off to the south and east streaming into the bahamas. all is quiet here in the two-county area and into the keys. the readings now down to the 60s in key west. and temperatures still falling just a touch. we will only rebound into the lower 70s into the florida keys. "first alert" weather and northeast winds picking up at 15. a mix of sun and clouds but again staying dry. today's weather in the two-county area simply outstanding. lower 60s this morning. upper 60s, near 70 midday. 72, the "first alert" forecast high. how about tonight, more of the same but then we bring in the change. we're leaning toward shower changes. we'll actually begin to see sprinkles. lows tomorrow morning at 60s. back up to 73. i think tuesday's an umbrella day. we're back down with cool sunshine on wednesday. morning lws on the mid-50s.

"first alert" forecast for thursday and friday but clearing out by the weekend. a littlewarmer, too. kelly. >> thanks, ryan. good morning, south florida. we're accident-free, 5:17 a.m. in both miami-dade and broward county. construction is starting to clear up, for example, on i-95 southbound, this is where we had two right lanes completely blocked off. agency you can see, traffic is getting by in all of the lanes. let's take a look at the maps. eastbound at northwest 57th avenue you're still going to have the right lane blocked off and the on ramp shut down for ananher ten minutes but 826 outhbound that's where we had all lanes locked off at kendall drive. but now headed out the door in the next five to ten minutes this construction alert will be clear. no issues in broward county as far as accidents. we still do have johnson street between north dixie highway and north 21st avenue shut down.

thief is expected to make her first court appearance. on friday, the fbi arrested abigail kent. the 24-year-old is believed to have robbed six jewelry store it's in south during an eight-month crime spree. we're also learning kemp has been in trouble with the law since she was 18 years old. meanwhile, neighbors in her suburban hometown said she was most recently waiting tables. she was accused of swiping $4 million in jewelry from six stores in five states. they were shock issed. >> from the suburbs, you don't expect these kind of things happening out here.. you don't expect someone that you grew up with to do these sorts of things. >> investigators say kemp's biggest theft was right in florida. police say she made off with more than $400,000 from a jewelry store at panama city back in august. she's accused of holding salespeople at gunpoint. tying them in a back room and stealing watches and diamonds.
