we start with a news alert. "janet reno" has died. she was the first woman to serve as attorney general of the united states.. reno's goddaughter made the announcement early this morning and said reno died from complications of parkinson's disease. former president bill clinton appointed reno as years in the position. reno was one of the clinton's administrations most recognizable and polarizaing figures... known for her role in the branch davidian compound in waco.. she also ordered the armed seizure of elian gonzalez from his miami relatives.. and sent back to his father in cuba. reno also ran for governor of florida in 2002.. but lost. she was 78 years old. developing this morning: an 18-year-old dies after showing up at a hospital with

an update now in a homicide investigation in pinellas park... detectives say the suspect in the case has turned himself in. investigators say, someone shot and killed a man inside an apartment on 75th avenue in north pinellas park sunday afternoon. police say the gunman in the shooting made his way to treasure island beach.. and called police to report what had happened. officers met him on the beach.. interviewed him.. and sent more investigators to the pinellas park apartment where they found the victim dead of a gunshot woun say the shooter and the victim.. are related. it's not clear what might have motivated the shooting.. so far, no names have been

her life this morning after being involved in a devestating car accident. the car she was in flipped off an overpass on i-75.. killing her husband and two young children. it happened just before 2 sunday morning. according to troopers, "ronald" and "tiffany green" were driving north when the mazerati they were in lost control. their two children, just 5 and 9-years-old, were in the back seat. the car slammed into a guardrail and flipped over the barrier onto woodberry road below. the parents were ejected from the car. both "ro he was behind the wheel at the time and speeding was a factor. detectives are still investigating, but say they believe alcohol also played a roll in the crash. early voting ended yesterday and we're getting our first ?unofficial numbers in from hillsborough county. according to county officials 176-thousand-505 people voted by mail. and

early at polling stations. that's a 49-percent turnout. remember if you haven't voted, ?tomorrow is election day. polls will be open from 7 a-m to 7 p-m, but you will have to go to the polling station specified on your voter registration card. for the second time, the f-b-i has announced it is dropping it's investigation into "hillary clinton's" emails. a week after announcing they after finding emails on "anthony weiner's" computer, the f-b-i has made yet another announcement. in a letter to congress f-b-i director "james comey" said, based on his agent's findings, he has not changed his conclusion on the investigation into clinton's handling of classified emails. the trump campaign is criticizing comy and the decision saying the system is "rigged" and "corrupt". and the candidates still have florida on their minds. "donald trump" is holding a rally later this morning in sarasota. it's taking place at the robarts arena at

doors open at eight a-m and the event starts at 11. you can sign up for free tickets on the trump website. this is trump's second stop in the bay area in three days... he was at the florida state fairgrounds on saturday. and it's going to be a ?long day of campaigining for trump. he also has stops planned in north carolina, pennsylvania, new hampshire, and michigan. and "hillary clinton" is bringing out some big names for a final push in the bay area as well. vice president "joe biden" and his wife doctor "jill biden" will hold a rally tonight in s by singer "jimmy buffett". it's taking place at albert whitted park in downtown st. pete. doors open at 3. the concert is expected to start around 5:30. if you think you've seen a monkey scurrying around pinellas county... you're not imagining it. recently, there have been monkey sightings reported from hernando county to pasco county. and now, it seems the elusive rhesus macaque has made it to ?clearwater.

this comes just days after a 30-year old woman was found chained inside a metal container on the man's property. new jersey police are have taken a person of interest into custody in the killing of three people, including two children. 26-year-old "jeremy arrington" was taken into custody after barricading himself inside of

home around 4 saturday evening. essex county officials say among those dead are a women and two children. three others were hurt. a small town in utah has lost its first police officer in the line of duty. officers were chasing a car sunday afternoon in west valley city, when officer "cody brotherson" got out of his cruiser to intercept the driver. that's when he was hit by that car. he died at the scene. "brotherson" was just 25-years-old. a 5-point-oh magnitude earthquake has hit central oklahoma. it happened around 7:45 last night. the center was located about a mile west of cushing... that's 50 miles outside of oklahoma city. the cushing police department has reported quite a bit of damage in town. the area holds a lot of oil barrels, but so far there are no reports any of it has been damage or that there will be a disruption of fuel to nearby states. and history at the new

troubled air bag maker takata is reportedly considering bankruptcy for its u-s unit. reuters says the japanese company is seeking a backer to help pay the huge costs related to the global recall of millions of potentially faulty inflators. if they can't find a backer, a chapter eleven filing for its michigan-based t-k holdings is an option. t-k holdings accounts for nearly half of takata's worldwide sales. the company is struggling to supply replacement inflators after theirs have been linked to at least 16 deaths. it looks like wells fargo's brokerage unit is also falling victim in the bank's phony accounts scandal. three u-s senators say wells fargo has fired hundreds of brokerage employees for improper sales practices. up until now, the bank has said the scandal is a retail banking problem. in september, wells fargo agreed

customers' names without their permission. and this isn't what any company wants to hear right before a busy holiday season. earnings reports not good for gopro. the company's stock plunged after a net loss for the fourth straight quarter. they say they expect to stay in the red next year. they have also lowered their sales forecast for the current quarter because of production issues for its new 'hero 5' camera and 'karma' drone. landed a deal with apple to draw in customers this holiday season. starting november fifteenth kohl's will start selling the apple watch at four hundred of its stores. the announcement comes just weeks after rival macy's landed a similar deal with apple. some good news if you're hitting the road for a post-election day road trip.

a scary sight overnight on the side of the road in clearwater. a car catches fire. this was in the southbound lanes of u-s 19 near drew street. clearwater police posted these pictures to their facebook page. as you can see the car was completely engulfed in flames when crews got to the scene. thankfully, no one was injured. later this morning, governor "rick scott" will officially ?reopen the historic a-1-a coastal byway in flagler beach. last month, during hurricane matthew more than a mile of a-1-a was damaged. recovery efforts from t florida's east coast.. the price tag for the highway project comes in just shy of 4- million dollars. citrus county deputies are looking for the public's help to track down three people who robbed multiple internet cafes in dunnellon. the robberies happened around 9 p-m saturday night at the flamingo internet cafe and the xtreme internet cafe... which are next door to each other on west dunnellon road. deputies have released these surveillance pictures of the people responsible. investigators say two of them

internet cafe, while a third went next door. deputies say an armed employee at the xtreme internet cafe fired at the thief, but they then grabbed a woman...dragging her out as a human shield. all three criminalsl then took off in a blue dodge neon. an osceola county deputy is recovering after being shot in the leg during a fight with a suspected gang member. the whole incident unfolded just before 2 a-m sunday outside of deputies were called out to check on a fight. when they got there, they heard that one of the people involved was armed. they say 28-year-old "angel lopez" put up a fight when deputy "john rios" tried to detain him. and the deputy was shot in the leg. deputy rios is out of the

charges including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. another sign the athleisure trend is here to stay. online retailer "fabletics" has opened a brick-and-mortar store right here in tampa. the company was co-founded by actress "kate hudson" and sells athletic clothes. they quietly opened a store in international plaza last week. but it's not the first store in the area. the company opened a store in sarasota's "university town center" back in september. are you headed out of town for veteran's day? if you're driving, good news... the trip could cost you less. according to triple-a gas prices are expected to tumble this week. so why? well they say a major shift happened in the oil markets last week that sent oil prices dropping. that means the cost for a gallon of regular soon could go down. right now nationally the average price

this all happened in queensland, australia. you know police can get some strange sights while on the job. we've told you stories about officers finding dogs.. snakes.. even pigs.. while on the job. but when they found this little guy it was a first. the queensland police posted these pictures online. the upper mount gravatt tactical crime squad found this guy last night. they said they had stopped a woman... and when they went to go arrest her on some outstanding warrants... they asked her if she had anything to dear woman handed over a zipped canvas bag and told officers there was a ?baby koala inside! at first they didn't believe her, but sure enough they found this little guy in the bag. the woman claims she found the joey and was caring for it. police believe the joey is about 6- months-old. he's seems to be in good health, but is a little dehydrated. by the way, the police have named him alfred! alfred is currently with the royal society for the prevention of cruelty to animals. he's on fluids but is expected to be just fine. by the way,
