campaign. the fbi announced its revie revg new e-mails tied tots probe of the democratic nominee e-mail practices. i'm dawn timmeney. >> i'm chris o'connell. sources tell fox news the e-mail surfaced during the fbi's investigation into sexting by former congressman anthony weiner. the fbi director sent out letter to members of congressional letting them to this review. he said, new e-mails uncovered in an unrelated case are promming the bureau to take a look at them and determine if they contained anything classified and to a assess their importance to the bureau's earlier investigation. in july the fbi said its investigation was finished saying while clinton was extremely careless about her actions, they were not criminal. fox 29's dave kinchen is live in bensalem where governor mike pence just addressed today's big news. dave? >> reporter: trump/pence supporters actually got the word of this reopened investigation a bit earlier before mike pence

time to check in with fox 29 weather authority. sunny out there today. but a breeze kept things a little autumn like for students out at pennsylvania campus today in west philadelphia. did you not want to go out without jacket. meteorologist scott williams here with news just in time for the weekend and those trick or treaters. scott? >> it looks like we are going to see a warmer temperatures chris as we head toward the upcoming weekend it was sunny and chilly for your friday. the high in philadelphia made only to 57 degrees. right now it's 54. still a little breezy as well with those winds out of the north northwest. we have upper 40s right now in trenton. 50 in atlantic city. 54 dover. upper 40s in pottstown along with allentown. upper 30s chilly right now in the poconos mountains. still tracking some gusts over 20 miles an hour in the poconos. gusting right now in wildwood at 17. high pressure is in control. we'll see clear skies. the winds will diminish overnight and those temperatures will be dropping. we're looking at 48 at 9:00 o'clock.

11:00 o'clock temperatures right around 46 degrees. mid to upper 30s in the suburbs tonight. 40 degrees in the city. but get ready for weekend warmth. look at the 80s off to our south. we'll talk about that warmth for the weekend plus we'll have the latest on what to expect as we move toward halloween. back to you. >> all right. thank you, so much scott. to a developing story now on a series of smash and grab robberies in our area. police say they are looking for at least six people and have a stolen vehicle in connection with at least two recent -- of those incidents. during the met recent robbery police say the crooks shattered a macy's jewelry counter and grabbed everything they possibly could. >> police are hoping to catch these brazen robbers before they strike again. fox 29's dave schratwieser live at police headquarters with the very latest on this one. dave. >> reporter: chris, investigators appear to be making progress in trying to track down those smash and grab robbers. they're also looking at two smash and grab robberies from

over the summer to see if they may be connected in the meantime, the fbi has joined this investigation tonight. >> these guys seem to be professional. this is not the first time doing this. >> reporter: this is the latest surveillance shot of the smash and grab robbers in action. it was taken during thursday's mid afternoon heist at macy's on the boulevard when the bandits targeted watches and made their escape in this merchandise. >> this crew notice what they're doing. they're experienced and it's something we're going to try and get them off the street before they hurt somebody. >> reporter: macy's rob bro came after tuesday's big heist at boyd's on chestnut street in center city. investigators are looking for links to other smash and grab robberies. >> huge concerns. you have individual that is are striking look this in multiple incidents. >> reporter: daring smash and grab crew drove high end m mercedes in both heights. $50,000 at boyd's over $16,000

at macy's. >> the same merchandise was used in the incident at macy's yesterday. this is all that's left of the red toyota rav four used to knock out a play glass window in the boyd's early morning burglary. it was found torched in north philadelphia two days later. >> a dangerous situation because typically when you have a robbery situation, they can explode at any point in time and that's our concern. >> reporter: detectives with help from the fbi are looking at two recent smash and grab robberies back in august. on august 17th, 3 men wearing hoodies used sledge hammers to bust open jewelry cases at the philadelphia mills mall. they took over a hundred thousand dollars in rings. >> probably be smart for them to turn themselves in at this point because again we're on top of it at this point. >> reporter: now so far, these robbers have gotten away with over $65,000 in stolen merchandise. they did drop a bag containing stolen watches as they left macy's yesterday and head to do that high-end mercedes get away car. if you have any information on the whereabouts of that car

contact police or the fbi. chris? >> all right, dave, thanks. two philadelphia police officers are on desk duty tonight as the department looks into a late night shooting. the officers responded first to a call for an inn tock indicated and suicidal man on the 3800 block of eleanor street in juniata in man would not drop a knife so they tased him twice but that didn't work. that's when he say he came at this them with a knife and they fire. he's in critical but stable condition tonight at temple just hospital. terrifying moments for a teenaged boy suddenly woken by a masked gunman in his south philadelphia home. police say two men burst into the home on the 2200 block of 21st street around 4:00 o'clock this morning. the boy was sleeping on the living room couch when one of the gunmen demanded money and tied him up in the basement. police say both of the men then tried to destroy the alarm box. the teen was fortunately able to escape. ran a few blocks and called for help. he was treated for cuts to his feet. so far no arrests have been ma

made. a 47-year-old man was killed yesterday in an tempted robbery at a boost mobile shop. robert anderson was shot several times inside the store on the 2900 block of north 22nd street. anderson work at the cell phone shop. police are still searching for a suspect. well, in closing ago dams in the bridge gate trial, prosecutors once again trying to prove to juror that is bridget kelly and bill baroni purposely created gridlock for political retaliation. >> then used kelly's infamous e-mail that reads "time for some traffic problems" as proof. two former chris christie aids testified they believed the closures were part of a traffic study conceived by former port authority official david wildstein. wildstein has pleaded guilty and he testified that both kelly and baroni were fully aware of the plot to punish the fort lee mayor for not supporting governor christie. the defendants face nine counts each. sigh of relief tonight for residents in newark, delaware.

police say they've arrested a man who tried to kidnap two children there. 32-year-old joseph krueger is behind bars tonight on wednesday police say someone called them to the four seasons community aft someone tried to abduct two pre-teen boys. after doing interviews, officers determined it was krueger they were after. prosecutors charged him with two counts of attempted second degree kidnapping. the philadelphia 76ers are apologizing to night after the team pull the plug on their scheduled national anthem singer minutes before she was set to perform at their home opener in a statement the team says quote they welcomed singer sevyn for another chance to perform. the sing sorry says the sixers did not allow her to sing the national anthem at a game this week because she wore a jersey that read "we matter". instead a sixers dancer took to the court to sing the last minute song. here's the full statement from the sixers. police say this guy walked right into family dollar on 17th and washington last week. hid for an hour inside a back room, once employees were closing out the registers, he comes out of hiding and robs them at gun point. if you recognize the man, please give police a call. another armed robbery caught on camera this one happened yesterday in north philadelphia. take a look. police say this guy went into dunkin' donuts on the 500 block of west lehigh avenue to get some food and then left. he returned about 20 minutes later with a handgun and robbed the store. he was last seen running east on lehigh avenue. if you know anything if you reckons this guy, give police a call. and back now to your fox 29 weather authority. a little chilly to start but then it turned into really great day. >> apparently we're getting some better news for the weekend. scott? >> we're looking at temperatures topping out in the 70s, chris and dawn, by the up coming weekend. inland down the shore we're looking at temperatures mid to upper 60s. nice weekend on tap. clear skies right now as we look at the center city skyline. current temperatures are in the
