>> according to police 26 year-old devin kelly storm the first baptist church during sunday services. investigators say victims include children as young as five and pastor's 14 year-old daughter, the pastor and his wife were out of town during that deadly attack. hours later in a vigil, it was held near the scene. we're learning more about this shooter, he is an air force veteran with the criminal past. military spokesmen says devin kelly served in logistics readiness back in 2010 until he was given a bad conduct discharge. they are not saying when or why he was discharged. a sheriff on the scene says that the shooter first fired several sots outside of the church before going in, and then walk over to the front, and horrifyingly turned around and opened fire to the family packing pews in that very small church before going outside the front doors. >> i know everyone that goes to church here, you know, they know me, i have tons of friend s, friends that have

children that are, that were inside there that i have no idea about. i have no idea, you know, if they're okay. >> anyone that was killed in the church there is present with our lord. >> the president is speaking out about this one. he happens to be traveling overseas right now and he says he thinks that the shooter was mentally ill. >> i think that mental health is a problem here. it was based on preliminary reports very deranged individual, a lot of problems over a long period of time. we have a lot of mental health problems in our country as do other countries. but this isn't a guns situation. >> we don't know exact motivation of this shooter, who was later found dead inside his vehicle with other weapons. >> updates throughout the morning including the man who tried to stop the gun man coming up in just a little bit another act of gun violence begins children in our city. one teen shot and killed, 12 year-old injured and new

neighbors want answers. jenny joyce joins us from police headquarters with more, jenny. >> reporter: homicide detectives are still working to find this shooter, involved , all day yesterday, we watched as detectives went back to the scene trying to talk to people, finding out what they knew, in order to, get some lead on who this person might be, this was a shooting that left a 16 year-old dead, family, friends , neighbors are now grieving a life lost too soon. memorial marks spot on north 19th street where the teen was shot and killed early sunday morning family members say that the teen was a trip let one of the eight boys in the house, police say saturday night the victim was outside talking with friends, fellow children on a neighbor's front steps at north 19th and somerset street when gunman approached and fired multiple times. the 16 year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. the 12 year-old friend took a bull tote leg. he was transported and later released from the hospital according to family members.

we are staying on the top of the latest on the deadly texas shooting at lee 26 people are dead and another 20 are injured. twenty-six year-old devin kelly stormed the the first baptist church during sunday services. investigators say they ranged in age from five to 72. the shooter, an air force veteran was found dead inside his car not too far from the church. no word on a motive for this horrific attack. it is exactly 5:15 on this day. i got a person not shocked, average weather person, apparently it is nacho day, how about that, sue. >> bus stop buddy, need his nachos. >> i like my nacho was cheese, no jalapenos or maybe just one we have a jet stream to the north of us which is why we're in the mild weather right now but cool air will come in when jet stream sinks to the south and that will be later on
