the coroner says 42-year-old jamie howard was stabbed to death. wyff news 4's corey davis is live here in the studio with more on this development. corey: patrick, i spoke briefly with howard's family in greer today just after they found out about his death. many of them were too upset to speak on-camera. but i did talk to the people who own the property where howard's body was found. this is video from the scene last night on burrell road in taylor the property owners told me they have about 150 acres of land out there. they allowed a hunter to come on the property to do some scouting, and that's when they say he fouy yesterday around 5:30. we're told howard was found about 100 yards from the road in front of a fence on the property. the coroner says howard died after he was stabbed in the chest. i just spoke with investigators, and right now they are not sure whether howard was stabbed, where his body was found, or if he was placed at that location. the property owners told me that the hunter did notice that there
ground. right now investigators are asking you to call crime stoppers at 23-crime if you have any information that could help in this case. patrick? patrick: thank you so much corey. the anderson county sheriff's office narcotics unit made two big arrests this week. officers had a warrant to search a home in belton on wednesday. pills, marijuana, and a firearm were found in the home. 36-year-old javiaro eugene dixon was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and 26-year-old daniella delphie lawrence was taken in for simple possession of marijuana. the other man eric bruce richey , of honea path, was also taken in on outstanding warrants in abbeville county. then, on thursday, the narcotics unit took a search warrant to a home on flowe road in anderson. when officers arrived, six people ran from the house, but all six were quickly caught and arrested for trafficking cocaine and crack cocaine, and intent to distribute in an area near southwood middle school.
for two men responsible for an armed robbery. investigators say the men are responsible for a robbery at club 100 on friday. surveillance cameras captured both suspects as they went into the club. once inside, investigators said the couple presented a firearm and left with the cash register. if you can help police identify these men, you should call crimestoppers. we now know the name of a man who was killed in a crash in simpsonville on friday. 58-year-old herman david gibson died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car. the accident happened on east main street around 6:30 last night. turning to commitment 2016 coverage now. two days left until the iowa caucuses. the first actual voting in the race for the white house. donald trump and democrat hillary clinton have small leads in the latest polls in iowa. the races are closed and he campaigning intense.

the mill village market officially opened today just off of pendleton street and lois avenue. residents say the market is more than just a store it's a symbol of re-development, but it's also a learning tool. some of the produce sold is grown by a group of nearly 30 teen it's a paid program offered through the mill community ministries. >> it makes you feel like you have accomplished something and gets to step further into somewhere >> people don't -- they get to eat the food that we grow. it is really cool. patrick: the community services have grown since 2012 starting first as urban farms. they then transitioned into mobile markets, serving more than 4,000 customers in local communities. history lovers in spartanburg county are kicking off black history month a couple days early. musicians and storytellers took part in an event at the inman city hall today. it featured stories about a folk legend known as trotting sally. many others from the across the upstate also spoke about their

custody this morning by the san francisco police department. they broke out of a jail in southern
california more than a week ago with a third inmate who surrendered on friday. the 3 men were awaiting trial on charges in separate violent crimes. an attorney says a university of south carolina student has a chance to avoid prison after she was recorded spitting and pouring household cleaner into her roommates' food last year. hayley king's attorney says she has entered pre-trial intervention. and the fifth circuit solicitor's office has placed a charge of malicious tampering with food on hold. king's two roommates told police they set up cameras because they were afraid of what king might do after fighting with her. back in the upstate, a community came together today to work and clean up a stretch of highway. earlier this month, several community members, county council, and a state representative planned today's "ban the trash" clean-up. people living around the midway
