An amazing short by an "orchestra" of vibraphone players. Some viewers have noted that this film seems to be a mirror image of how things are supposed to be. This is because original Soundie films were printed backwards so that they could appear correct when played in the Panoram machine (an early film jukebox).

What can be said about this record save for it is really weird. It has the voice of a soprano who sings with a chorus and then she breaks into a Hawaiian Nose Guitar routine. We guess Edison wanted to save the money of getting a real steel guitarist.

Joanna Brouk: Conch Shell: The Sea at Sunset (1973). Joanna Brouk was born in 1949 in St. Louis Missouri. She resides in Berkeley, California, where she composes electronic music and writes poetry.
