orr. snow still falling there brandon? >> yeah adam the snow is still falling. we finally got it together in marysville. it took us a while because the roads are completely snow covered here. on the way down on the aa highway we couldn't see what road we're in. as long as you take it slow and you're aware of cars around you we didn't see any wrecks. checkout the snow drift this is caused when the wind was pretty strong yesterday. it's not that bad right now but when we put the ruler in it just completely disappears and keeps ongoing. so snow drifts are more than a foot through here. you can walk through it. it's up to my knees. i believe this is highway 68. this is completely covered. it's not as big as the aa highway but it's pretty identical pretty snow covered. the plows are coming through. they try to plow it and then the snow covers it again. the salt is helping to a point but with temperatures this cold it dovent esn't start and it's slower. we'll come pair that to cincinnati but guys we'll send >> brandon i have a y

orr. hi, brandon. >> i know talking about a pancake breakfast before 6:00 a.m. we haven't eaten breakfast. precision doppler 12 h.d. does have activity on it in northern kentucky. that's where we have snow showers this morning. we have some moving through independent dip an that that's going to cross 71 and to 75. if you're going to south to louisville or election singson keep in mind we could see slick areas -- lexington. over downtown we have dry air in place. that's keeping the snow from reaching the ground and we're going to stay dry throughout part of the morning because that's the only band we have coming through. then we wait for the next one to redevelop over central indiana 32 at the airport. same in lunken. the rest of us are at or below freezing -- paving temperatures a lot of them are above freezing with the exception of versailles at 32. that's where we had one snow shower moving through. but the overpasses are at or below freezing as well. that's what we're keeping an eye on on 71 and 75. the rest of us i think will be ok. looking over downtown we

plus, remembering a deadly storm.local 12's brandon orr joins us next with a look back on what happened four years 3 today is a somber anniversary. four years ago.. deadly tornadoes ripped through the ohio.. kentucky.. and indiana. local 12 meteorologist brandon orr is revisiting that tragic day.. 3 it was an unusually warm late winter day that turned destructive in the span of only a few hours.a total of nine tornadoes touched down in the local 12 area on this day in 20-12. most of them were only a county or two away from the ohio river. three of them were large and destructive, including one that hit piner, kentucky only 20 miles south of cincinnati with winds in excess of 160 miles per hour... rated a 4 out of 5 on the enhanced fujita scale.you can see how extensive the damage is, especially in piner where homes were completely wiped off their foundation. in that tornado alone... 8 were injured and there were 4 fatalities. looking at the damage it could have been much worse but we had an early warning.this is the forecast three days out from the storm prediction center... highlightin

orr with the no wait weather. >> brandon: yeah, snow is on the way, but it has not moved in quite yet, we have the time if you want to go out and run thor rands before the snow nofz in. and you can see how it starts to push to the east and starts to break up a little bit and as it does so, it is moving closer to the radar and what this means is that there is a lot of dry air, at the ground and as the snow is falling, we call that vergo and what we are going to see throughout most of the morning before we can see the snow reach the ground and it will and it will produce the accumulations across the area. on the roadways and that is a good thing and so there is a lot of pretreatment, done from salting from the last storm and that is going to help out tremendously initially once the snow begins to fall, on the medical center camera, we have the peaks of sunshine from time-to-time and it is not going to warm us up a lot though, and we do have the winds that will warm us up later and right now, a lot of us are sitting at 13, 14, grows degrees and here is the timing of the snow we could see

in the weather center is brandon orr. brandon. >> we certainly missed out on the severe weather, missed out on the tornadoes. those stayed to our south, but we didn't miss out on the rainfall 1" to 2" was reported across the area. a good average across the area. we're not looking at anything on doppler 12hd. it is completely dry. the latest rain we had on there was that has since moved out. temperatures are starting to fall. if you watched just 30 minutes ago, you noticed how versailles was 50, look now. 46, 47. that's the cooler weather oozing in from the west. it's not going to be in the 50s much longer. 60s over towards adams county up towards wilmington was into the 60s earlier today. close to it now down to the middle 50 as the cooler weather moves in. we're also going to get rid of the clear skies which we have mostly around right now, partly cloudy skies at times but you can see there's the leading edge of cloud cover coming in. we're also getting the winds to calm down a little bit. you know this morning they were

here's meterologist brandon orr. 3 today is the one year anniversary of the deadly hopple street bridge collapse. the collapse killed brandon carl and hurt a semi driver. osha cited kokosing construction for using an excavator on the bridge deck, which wasn't strong enough to support it.the company was also cited for failing to stop demolition work after an engineering error was found that could have caused the collapse. 3 a suspected killer will face a judge this morning ...derrell gover is accused of killing 20-year old immanuel scott in avondale last week. scott showed up to children's hospital friday night with a gunshot wound.. and he died there. police think he was shot at an apartment building on alaska avenue. 3 a trial date will be set for who shot and killed sam dubose during a hearing next month. this, as the dubose family is getting millions from the school. u-c and the family of sam dubose announced a five-point-three million dollar settlement yesterday.. dubose was killed by ray tensing during a traffic stop last summer. his family will get four-point-eight million dollars

here's meterologist brandon orr. 3 the east coast is still dealing with the aftermath of that deadly weekend snowstorm. at least 42 deaths in 11 states are now linked to the blizzard.federal offices are closed again today in the washington area.it's also another snow day for students in d-c.. philadelphia and baltimore.more than 25-hundred flights were delayed or cancelled yesterday. 3 a local man accused of molesting several children is slapped with more charges. steven rekowski now faces nine more charges for sex crimes involving six more children.. ages four to ten years old. police arrested him after the saw a video of her child on rekowski's phone.and investigators found more sex videos involving other children.some kids appear to be passed out, according to the dearborn county prosecutor. we talked to a child advocacy specialist who says parents should ask their children if there is a place they don't feel safe or anyone they don't feel safe with. 3 "you think kids are going to come to you but unless you ask they don't speak up then you find children say no one asked no one ask
