and we have very high hopes for the new secret service director jim clancy. he has come back to the agency to try to solve these problems. i and john conyers, the ranking democrat on the committee and jason chaffetz the member of the oversight committee and his ranking member elijah cummings will be meeting with director clancy to talk about what measures they're taking to solve the problem. clearly there's a serious morale problem and a serious discipline problem at the agency charged with some of the most important responsibility the, protecting the life of the president and other people around him. >> when you're going over the events of that evening, you left out the part where a senior supervisor let the agents go home without forcing them to take a sobriety test. >> no breath test and yet the report is he smelled the alcohol on their breath and therefore, i don't think they're going to get away with this. but that again, is an example of you know protecting somebody's back rather than protecting the president of the united states. >> well then let me re

i mean what needs to be done to fix the agency jim? >> well if i was going to make a recommendation to him, reverend al i would say that joe clancy needs to get a deputy director from outside the agency. he's been picked by the president as the top man, he can go out and get a deputy from another agency and put him in there and toughen this whole thing up. he's got to take swift action. if you look at the latest thing that happened that you referenced, going through the barricade, two commanders drinking, everything wrong in that seems to be done by a supervisor. the only person who did something right was the line field division officer who wanted to give a sobriety act. when you have supervisors cutting them loose, supervisors not taking the right action you got some real problem. the director's got to get tough. one way he can help that is bring in an outside deputy clamp down on this and make sure when somebody sees misconduct action is taken, it's reported. when you see gonzalez in virginia there's a chance to stop him, stop him.

and new information from jim clancy being called to congress next week to answer questions and there are a lot of them. thanks so much. >>> new reports this morning swirling around the sae fraternity booted off the university of oklahoma campus for racist chants. the chapter has reportedly lawyered up with plans to sue the school and possibly its president for shutting them down and there are also questions surrounding the fraternity's university of washington chapter for racist remarks allegedly shouted out during a march in seattle. miguel marquez is following both stories with me here in new york. what's going on in oklahoma? >> it's not clear this is happening. this is coming from an affiliate. stephen jones, high-profile oklahoma attorney has allegedly been hired to represent sae in oklahoma by that chapter. the university has not heard anything. jones isn't confirming it himself. the national chapter of sae says they have nothing to do with it and pulled the charter for that particular chapter and they're not going to fight that. whether or not he has been hired still a big que
