parents say damage has been done nonetheless. the parents of 49ers lineman ray mcdonald are angry at the san jose police department for how it handled their son's domestic violence investigation. nbc bay area's robert handa is in san jose with the exclusive interview. >> reporter: raj, the parents say they were tired of keeping quiet. i talked with them through face time on the phone as they were heading out on a wedding anniversary trip. it was clear they haven't gotten over their anger. police here did offer an explanati explanation. ray mcdonald senior and labreena mcdonald are speaking out now that their son, ray mcdonald, will not face domestic charges after an argument with his girlfriend august 31st. they say police should not have cited in a news release at the time their son was arrested for the woman's visible injury. >> they tossed their information in one statement that said the victim had injuries. that left everyone to believe that he actually attacked her. and that was totally wrong. >> reporter: the parents say they believe investigators felt pressured to take action.
