columbia with more on the river flood advisory that's in effect for richland county -- michal? this flood advisory was issued by the national weather service and is in effect until late tonight for lexington and richland counties. you can see how high the river is right now. at 8pm on monday -- the river level was at 14.8 feet. the flood stage is 19 feet.... the national weather service believes the river will fluctuate between about 10 and 15 feet through friday... weather officials say rainfall during the past few days combined with reservoir operations has produced elevated flows along the congaree river. now it's not just the river in officials say roads in low lying areas and swampland downstream from columbia could become flooded... especially the areas that are already saturated from heavy rain we saw last week. flood-prone areas near olympia, five points, and under the gervais street train trestle, in let's send things over to von gaskin now for a look at the timing of this system and what we can expect we are starting this tuesday with showers and a few storms crossing the state.
