. the winds north at 16. as brandon orr mentioned earlier the winds have been blowing and drift thing snow in the areas the snow overnight. so off to the east of cincinnati watch for blowing and drifting snow through the morning. 23 degrees at 8:00 o'clock. skies mostly cloudy. stray flurries will still be around during the course of the morning. by noon we're at 26 degrees and then gradual clearing. we'll head to a high of 31 by 4:00 this afternoon. look at the sheer size of this system as we're sitting on the edge of it in cincinnati. dry air on the back edge so that meant for a razer sharp cut off. overnight. over the next 60 hours we get rid of clouds and we start to clouds. and then we're going to clear things out tonight into tomorrow. we'll see a few clouds mixed in with the sunshine tomorrow but a nice sunday coming away with warmer weather and then headed into monday later in the day the clouds increase and we see the coming in by monday night. that's monday night right around 9:00 o'clock. so rain will be in the forecast. thirty-one degrees morning flurries and clearing toda

. here's meteorologist brandon orr with your weather. >> hey. >> it was two days we saw 50s. yesterday the 40s and now barely above freezing. the cooler whether is starting to settle in. it doesn't look like much is going on but we do have light drizzle and flurries going on especially towards indianapolis. you can see it on the weather camera how it looks foggy out because there's a little drizzle around. soon it will turnover to flurries. 31 degrees below the freezing temperatures. pavement is above the temperatures. wind coming in from the west at nine miles per hour. so the wind switches from the south to the west. that's what's pulling in cooler air. just about everyone right at the freezing mark. we may be around 31 to 32 by noon. that's where we'll sit. we may hit our high of 34 degrees. that's it for today. this is the storm system we're dealing with today but tomorrow there's an arctic cold front. we say arctic because it's coming from canada. it's bringing snow showers tomorrow. just barely a dusting. that's about it. then it gets frimg gentlemened monday and more snow chance

dry air, that is why it's going to be such a shortcut off. even freezing rain as the brandon orr mentioned, freezing back there in western kentucky. we are expecting all snow here, 10:00 this morning, look at that snow spreading across the southern part of the area. maybe even over to georgetown, mount olivet starting to see the snow through noon, best chance of snow south and east of downtown cincinnati. notice the sharp cut off as the snow tries to fight the drier air, and then finally of that moisture winds out a little bit, that is why in downtown cincinnati, i believe the heavier snow comes in the afternoon. notice heading in that evening, snow breaking out in a lot of communities except in the far north and west. through 10:00, still some snow. at midnight it starts to shift downtown and then it starts to breakdown during the overnight hours into tomorrow morning. here is a model. trace amounts over connorsville, a couple of inches downtown. when you get into northern kentucky, it picks up, 7, 8, 9-inch amounts, here is another model, slightly different, a little more in downtown cin

orr, he's out on the roads checking in with us to see what it looks like. brandon, where exactly are you right now and how are things looking? >> hey, jen, we are in florence still. we're right along i-75, right by the exit of that brand spanking new costco to uc health stadium. and enter states are okay. traffic is target to move at least on the southbound lanes, but if you see back there towards the northbound lanes it's completely stopped. this is just stopping here within the past about 10 to 15 minutes. cars are still coming along at a decent speed and they're stopping all of a sudden, so that's something to keep in mind. also while we were out here -- we've been out here since 4:30 or so this morning. trailers in the middle of the interstate. they're gone now, but you'll have to watch out for any disabled vehicles as you're going out and about, because we've seen two of them on the interstate alone right where we're sitting at this exit. secondary roads are even worse as you might expect. they're putting down salt, which is helping a little bit, but when it's this cold, it only
