chief meteorologist paul deanno says bay area snow is possible tonight. hey, paul. >> it happened earlier today, 2:00 in the afternoon, this radar image captured at 2:15. you see san ramon, the 680 corridor, mount diablo and the purple there would be snow falling above 3,000 feet in elevation, mount diablo certainly above that. so we had snow in our highest elevations earlier today and a chance this evening as showers wind down. we did something in san francisco we have not done in four weeks. it rained officially downtown, a whopping 0.01-inch of rainfall but enough for us having to avoid having an 0 for february. where is it raining right now? very few showers. all the activity is heading east. i believe if i see lightning strikes there, that would be thunder snow to the east of sacramento. we had some showers in napa valley. now it's sitting over american canyon, also vallejo. heading to the south there were showers towards los gatos heading down toward morgan hill and the shower activity is greatly increasing in the sierra and those are four lightning
