. >> glenn "hurricane" schwartz here now tracking some changes for us. glenn? >> it's going to take a couple days before the cooler air comes in, but some of the rain is going to be coming in as early as tomorrow. mostly cloudy skies, but that didn't stop us from getting into the low 80s during the day today. lots of clouds around, especially this morning with the fog, but some breaks of sunshine allowing the temperatures to go up. just isolated, generally light showers right now moving from south to north. bigger issues are coming in two parts. first, as we go into late tomorrow, tomorrow night, watch some of this moisture come up toward us. that's later tomorrow night. could get some heavy rain there. then we also are looking at the tropics, not too far off the coast of the united states, especially considering that this storm which may become a tropical storm, could be traveling in the general direction of the east coast as we head toward the end of the week and into the weekend. we'll talk more about the potential here and how much rain we might get with th

glenn? >> yeah. you're going to be less upset by what happens later today than what happened late yesterday. that's for sure. we have got some clouds. we will have some rain in parts of the area. we need some rain. now, this is cape may from the marquis delafayette. kind of cool at the shore over the -- well the entire week, 'cause we are going to have onshore winds much the showers are pretty far to the west right now, so cape may and other parts of jersey shore, the farthest parts of our area away from the rain. got a few sprinkles perhaps in the washington area but most of the action is to the west and should stay to the west in our area. so, our western counties, berks county, chester county, even new castle county, is, in affect, west of philadelphia. and the lehigh valley, you get a chance of some of that light rain, generally light rain, later on this afternoon and into the evening hours. and it's going to stay cool today. warms this up week. the rest of the 7-day forecast in a few minutes. >>

with his forecast, glenn? >> triple threat of rain, first tonight with this giant blob that is moving into the area. you can see around the washington, d.c., area, northern virginia, just a huge amount of rain and that will be coming mostly through the northern counties during the night tonight and into tomorrow morning. we do expect some very heavy rain but that's mostly later tonight, so for the evening activities just be some patchy showers around, little bit more in berks county. but as we go through the latter portion of the night, it starts getting more widespread and it starts getting heavier. we're talking about rainfall rates up in the orange one to two inches per hour. if it stayed over the same spot, you get that much rain in one hour, and the red over two. see the little dots of red there? there's even more up towards the lehigh valley by 5:00 a.m. as we start the morning rush. that is tremendously heavy rain. that's enough to cause some localized flooding. and remember, this is a triple threat. th

glenn: good question. there is more sublime it comes -- there is more supply that comes into the market and as people anticipate that, stocks tend to go down. actually, stocks tend to act well in the months ensuing after lockup. you may find that a lot has a rebound in the not-too-distant future. the longer-term story for alibaba is the growth in the economy in china. as you may know, my company is very bullish on capital in china. the state owned enterprise, largely inefficient businesses where the stocks of those companies have tended not to do well, and locals have contracted with newer companies. we are seeing the same thing in china where -- that we see here, where software is eating the world. we are bullish long-term on that continuing to be the case and we think alibaba is a beneficiary of that as well. emily: obviously, yahoo! is sitting on a huge stake and there are some questions about how it would be taxed. we have 30 seconds. glenn: yahoo! is a really interesting business. it is mostly a track

we have some news on glenn corp. kate kelly is on the fast line with more. kate? >> hey there, melissa n. a meeting today this afternoon in london, with credit investors in glenn corp, officials from that company sought to assuage ongoing fears in the company. shares were up on monday but there was a huge route and unfounded rumors about a liquidity issue. the officials from the company toast investors they have $50 billion worth of access to letter ever credit financing, a special sort of financing that backs cargoes in transit as part of glenn corp's trading business, the buying and selling of oil and other commodities. they also said if they were downgraded to junk status, something people widely fear and they are trying to ward off. even if that were to happen, the key portion of the evolving credit bank financing would only be minimally effective in terms of the interest rate so this added up to some reassurance for credit investors and that is another explanation as why we saw a stock rally today in london. >> at the same time, they may not be officially rat

glenn, what's the mistake? >> the mistake is when you subsidize things, you make them more expensive and that's been the absolute history of this. the student loan subsidy shouldn't even be thought of as a subsidy author students, because they go into debt. it's a subsidy for a lot of people at universities who make excellent salaries, have good benefits and tend to vote democrat. so that's really -- >> it cycles back. you know, higher education is a big source of money and of foot soldiers because they have a lot of indoctrinated students who are likely to lean left at that phase in life. so it makes perfect sense for them to subsidize higher education. the question is, who is left holding the bag? and it's a mixture of the students and the taxpayers. student debt is up 76% since 2009 to $1.2 trillion. when i was writing the book, it was just $1 trillion, now it's $1.2. students are stuck with debt they can't pay. >> almost half are in detault already or nearly in default? >> yes. and you have lot of students

we begin with first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz. we aren't done with the wet yet. >> no, we have had a lull in the city of philadelphia for a couple hours now but as we have been telling you, here it comes. now the skyline is obscured by the local clouds, the rain has hit the city and more to come. you can see on the wide view this band, big band of rain. fortunately, we are seeing less of the yellow and red. the heaviest rain, we are not seeing as much of that now. we did see some heavy rain offshore, seven miles off atlantic city right at the time ted greenberg was talking about that plane crash. now, you can see the slow-moving storms continue over much of montgomery county and chester county. it's tapering off in berks county and the lehigh valley now but we continue to see some of this very heavy rain. we have had two, three more inches of rain in parts of the area. meteorologist sheena parveen has more on that and what's coming next. >> that's why we have been seeing a lot of localized flooding, street and creek flooding espec
