shopping center in livermore and it's not the only shooting he's wanted for. kpix 5's jackie ward is in livermore with the latest. >> reporter: one person is dead, another seriously injured after a shooting that took place here in the livermore cvs parking lot after 6:00 on saturday night. police say the suspects are still out there. they believe one to be 18-year- old jason brown. the other suspects identity is not known. brown is no stranger to police. fresno pd say brown was involved in a fatal shooting at a fresno restaurant in september. saturday when police got to the scene they found two adult males in their 20s in a car. the driver got inside the vehicle, the passenger was taken to a hospital where he went through several surgeries. we don't know his status at this time in both names of the victims are being withheld. a 12-year-old witnessed the whole thing and was able to get police the license plate number of the black bmw brown and the other suspect took often. this whole incident has the community of livermore on edge. >> it's kind of scary, really. not so much that somebody

discussion on that same issue. kpix 5's jackie ward live outside city hall with more. >> reporter: as you may recall, the city sanctuary city policy came under fire when kate steinle was shot by a convicted felon an undocumented immigrant. he had been previously deported five times. the board of supervisors will vote on the sanctuary city policy which limits city cooperation with federal immigration authorities. the board and mayor lee say that the policy has nothing to do with steinle's death since the sheriff's department should have called immigration and customs enforcement to let them know steinle's shooter was being released several months before her death. one of the resolutions calls for sheriff mirkarimi to reverse an order banning his staff from communicating with immigration authorities. a competing measure would encourage the sheriff not to notify i.c.e. when immigrants are released. steinle's family is suing the sheriff's office, i.c.e. and the bureau of land management. >> she said help me, dad, as she fell. that's my bedtime story every night. and if you want it to

strike unhappy with how negotiations are going. kpix 5's jackie ward is at cal state east bay in hayward with the latest. good morning, jackie. >> reporter: good morning, maria. as you know classes started about a month ago but faculty is saying they've had enough. they say they are being paid on fair salary. starting at 9:00 this morning, the strike authorization vote will begin online and in person. the california faculty association president jennifer eagen says wages are why the 25,000 members are ready to strike. the cfa wants a 5% general salary increase for the members as well as 2.6% service salary increase for eligible faculty. csu management is offering a 2% salary increase according to the cfa. the csu spokeswoman says that's a fair proposal because faculty was the only group of employees to receive salary increases during the recession years. starting at 7:00 this morning on the east bay campus, picketers will arrive to kickoff the vote, and it will continue through october 28 at 5:00 p.m. in hayward, jackie ward, kpix 5. >>> alameda firefighters trying to figure out
