karen rogers what are roads looking like? they're a little damp out there. >> we've been following this accident on i-95. it's northbound at 413 in bristol township bucks county involving and an overturned vehicle. what we can see right now is they're loading the vehicle up on the tow truck as we speak. we have debris off to the shoulder. at this point you can see traffic is getting by on i-95 northbound at 413. it's mostly off to the side. they may need to momentarily block it when they pull this tow truck out. you kind of get the idea looking at this shot it's damp out there, dreary. we're not talking the efrain yesterday but it's damp nonetheless with some low clouds. this is the roosevelt boulevard. that's you were southbound traffic headed towards the schuylkill. moving okay at this point. pretty light volume heading out very early at this point. an accident in hatfield new this morning on clemons road at forty foot road and we've been talking about this fire in chestnut because edgemont avenue still blocked between 14th

we've got meteorologist, david murphy and karen rogers is watching the roads. good morning. >> well, as we take an early look at satellite and radar, all we've got is clouds and some drizzle falling from the low lying cloud cover this morning. there are some showers down to the south. every now and then the models tend to bring this up around mid day. other runs have had it kind of falling apart before it gets here. i think the big issue this morning is the low lying cloud cover and that drizzle on your windshield that does have those wipers going intermittently. 46 degrees in philadelphia, 45 in trenton, 45 in wilmington. 44 in allentown. you can see how numbers beneath those early clouds are very even. winds not as strong as yesterday either so that's nice. cloudy skies drizzle maybe a shower later on but i generally think between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 we're looking at cool and damp conditions. and it stays a little bit milder later this afternoon. 46 degrees by 10 o'clock. and then by noon up to 51 which is better than most of you experienced yesterday.

karen rogers has a look at traffic. >> a lot of that across the region. rain right now is about halfway through the area. philadelphia very close to seeing the and of the raindrops. south jersey it will only be probable another hour or maybe hour and a half before this gets over to the coast and pushes out but strong winds are beginning to build in behind this. and even though temperatures are mild we're already seeing those numbers drop a little bit. a half hour ago we were at 56 degrees in philadelphia. now down to 53. starting to get the 40's in the poconos and lancaster and we're actually looking at temperatures plunging as that cold wind comes in from the west-northwest this morning so don't be fooled by the mild air you're encountering right out the door currently. it is going to get a lot cooler, maybe even i was the way down into the 30's a little bit later this morning. 30 is your current wind gust in philadelphia. we now have a gust of 40 in reading and i think these higher gusts that you see out west are going to build their way in. we could se

karen rogers we also get milder tomorrow. i'll have details on that coming up in the accuweather 7-day. >> all right dave. we're live on the schuylkill expressway. not too bad. the roads a little bit damp out there as you're traveling. you've got some leftover puddles from yesterday but no big problems on the schuylkill. this is at montgomery and we see the eastbound traffic headed towards center city and moving just fine at this point. no problems on the vine either. it was not closed for construction so westbound, eastbound moving okay. usually westbound we start to see things jam up. not really happening just yet. i think any minute now we'll start to see that slowdown building right there westbound as you head towards the schuylkill. we are starting to get a little bit slow in spots on i-95. you can see that here approaching cottman. that's your southbound traffic headed towards center city. overall it's an easy 15 minute ride but traffic just starting to begin to build here at cottman and again at girard. one more issue

dave murphy is outside, karen rogers has traffic inside. good morning. >> we're off to a chilly start this morning. i don't have gloves tucked into this fleece they give us. almost wish i had run back to the office and gotten them. it's a little bit chill to start out. we've got clear skies, though and there will be plenty of sunshine coming up over the horizon, some of those clouds you see out by pittsburgh down by washington some of that is liable to filter in as the day goes on. 35 degrees currently in philadelphia and a lot of spots down closer to or below the freezing mark. we're at 32 in trenton and wilmington. in the upper 20's in allentown, reading and lancaster and the mid-20's in millville. and as we roll through the day we are going to see some improvement in those temperatures. by 11 o'clock, we'll be at 45 degrees. by 1 o'clock, 51. we will transition to partly sunny skies during the afternoon but it will get a bit milder than yesterday. 56 degrees by 3 o'clock an high of 57 with less wind than what we saw yesterday. and a word

karen rogers what are you seeing on the traffic cameras? mainly wet? >>> right now they are mainly wet. we're watching traffic moving just fine, 42 northbound at creek road where the roads are wet. i noticed the off ramps we're seeing snow on the sides of the ramps, be careful of the overpasses and bridges. highways are looking good, just wet. we have a fatal accident on route 55. southbound at new garden road. that's the exit for 32. all lanes are blocked now that they have fatal accident. it's a vehicle that hit into a salt truck. a terrible accident, it's a fatal scene. police are investigating. stick to route 47 delsea drive. i-95 looking at the southbound traffic at allegheny we've got a car stopped off to the side. this is a good shot of the road conditions even though it's a shaky camera shot. we're a little damp on i-95. it's more of an issue in new jersey where the snow is coming down heavily. vine street expressway, westbound, eastbound, no problems, no overnight construction, very light volume and nobody slipping or sliding, just a little da
