i am here from los angeles and i work for a group called the lapd spying coalition. i am not an academic or a lawyer, but this has been my history. we are discussing the system. and one of the things we always try to do. and that's going to be the coalition that is looking at the policing and how many different ways it is back in our community. i have a graphic some of the folks may have seen this before and this is a circle of lapd's love that we feel every day. this is the surveillance both human and electronics technology that they are using. i don't want to go through that because it will take a lot of time, but the point being here that in essence what we are seeing that we look at surveillance and information gathering and intelligence gathering and information sharing, more as tools of social control. it's not only about information gathering, but what happens when that information is picked up and who it is being routed to. i want to bring up that you are seeing increasingly and this is how our lives have been impacted on the street. domestic law enforcement
