police officers are back at the knights inn motel on the i-17 investigating a deadly shooting. the newest one happening this morning. nick ciletti is on the scene. what happened? >> reporter: a number of detectives are on the scene right now. they are saying there is no connection between the shooting that happened 24 hours ago and the one around midnight. about the shooter and the victim. the shooter is a 28-year-old man and the victim is a hispanic man in his 30s. you can see phoenix police in tactical gear waiting to break down the door. not sure what will be on the other side. they found a man's body. he had been shot. the shooter and a woman who was inside at the time left the scene. they were caught a short time later and station for questioning. this started because there was a fight. phoenix police are not sure what it was about. coming up, we will tell you why phoenix police are telling me this might be a case of self- defense. i'm also working to get more information about the victim. live in phoenix with abc 15. >>> i'm live in mesa where police are working two different
