can donald trump do anything to close the gap? mr. trump: at the end of four years, i guarantee you i will get over 95% of the african-american vote. i promise you. rajini: right now that seems highly unlikely given that he is polling at 0% in some states. nationally he is at 8%. mr. trump: you are living in poverty, you have no jobs. what the hell do you have to lose? rajini: mr. trump's latest speeches are making a direct pitch to black voters, promising to improve education and economic opportunity for them. >> you keep hitting those issues and cannot resonate? yes, i think it can. particularly in southern communities that tend to be more traditional who say i did not have these opportunities as a child but maybe my children and grandchildren might. rajini: the hispanic vote might be harder for donald trump to win, given that he has offended so many with his comments. mr. trump: they are bringing drugs, they are bringing crime, they are rapists. rajini: as part of his new outreach, he is taking counsel from a team of hispanic advis

this is not brand new to mr. trump. it's just brand new to thed me extra. >> the last topic i want to get to is huma abedin announced today she was leaving her husband anthony weiner. we know the history of tony weiner. he has been sexting and caught sexting and whatnot. now yuma says they are breaking up. mr. trump released a statement on this. what's his tans on yuma be a teen. >> he wished her well why know huma abedin was one of the individuals who had a duel rule at the state department and clinton foundation handling sensitive information. he was concerned who else's hands that might have ended up in. >> was he concerned and is he still concerned going forward huma abedin having access to the security briefings that he as well is sewing i guess starting now? >> well, that's why he included the question mark. these are things that we don't know. we also know that thousands more emails have surfaced and we are going to find out a little bit more. hillary clinton has been in hiding, 266 days without a press conferenc

mr. trump responded after the speech. who did the tv shows and mr. trump responded again. mr. trump made clear he had nothing to do with the death of mr. khan's son who is definitely a war hero. it's disconcerting on why this attack was even lodged at mr. trump, considering mr. trump had nothing to do with the iraq war. hillary clinton voted for it in and she did it -- didn't support the troop surge, and then wanted to go to afghanistan. and the failures in libya. donald trump had nothing to do with that man's son. mark: when you think is going on with mr. trump's comments about the debate schedule? boris: if you look at the schedule, two debates are scheduled. i don't know if you are fans were not. it is worrying that some folks may not be watching the debates. we want as many people as possible to watch the debates. you saw what happened at the democratic primary with the e-mails. they tried to put the debates on christmas eve, new year's day. something to that effect. we want to make sure the same thing doesn't happen in the presidential debate. john: do you think he is ful

what would you like too hear from mr. trump? what do you think we will likely hear from mr. trump? >> craig, there's a backdrop that i think is important to the speech. he's in phoenix. two of his biggest supporters in the state of arizona, surrogates both here and nationally, sheriff joe arpaio and former governor brewer i'm sure will be there as part of the support team for him. brewer passed the most brew tall anti immigrant law and signed it into law here in arizona. that's been neutered by the supreme court who found three-quarters of it to be constitutional and one still proceeding along that challenge as well. joe arpaio has cost $50 million to the taxpayers with racial profiling, abuse of power. his case has been deferred to the justice department for possible indictments under issues of contempt and the -- essentially spying on federal judges during his trial on the other charges. that's the backdrop. that's the tone. as soon as you see that, that's the tone you're going to hear. i don't know how he walks back. i don't know how he softens. i don't know how he moderates, hi

to the extent mr. ailes is talking to mr. trump, i think that's a very to mr. trump and something that should worry the clinton campaign. they know ailes is very effective at putting on a good tv show, very good at coaching people like trump in those situations. so i think it's to the extent that communication is happening, i think that's a credit to trump and something that should really worry democrats. >> so there's controversy surrounding roger ailes with this whole sexual harassment controversy, he had to step down as the ceo of fox news because of that controversy. do you think female voters will take that into account or won't it matter? >> i mean, i sort of doubt it. i think at the end of the day, these campaigns -- voters judge the candidates on the candidates, not who necessarily the candidate's advisers are. i know the media likes to obsess over who the advisers are, but advisers are replaceable. the only person you can't replace is the candidate himself. i know this morning there's a lot of talk about the shake-ups happening inside the trump campaig
