and assessing the damage. >> that's right. we continue team coverage with cbs nk nshg's amy cutler live in fayetteville. amy, what are you seeing down there now? you've moved a bit. >> we have. we are by festival park on ray avenue. this entire water -- this entire area, i should say, where i'm standing was underwater just yester want to show you what the problem -- how the problem started here. it was cross creek back over there. you can see the water level is high now. that water moving at a good clip. that -- that creek back there flooded, bringing all of this water into this area, all of the soot on the groupd. give you an idea of the force of that water, you can see it brought down gates, grass, and dirt, the way that this is one of those areas that we were -- we've been monitoring closely. a dam that breached spring lakes mayor chris ratioing us the video of the dam at carver street state park saying the remaining trees that are there is what's keeping the rest of the dam in place. the lower little river crested thursday at just above 31 feet. that's considered major flood stage.
