i'm from the san francisco public utilities commission. the program came about with state wide legislation in 2002 to enable people to take more control over supplies. i first heard of the program when the organization was advocating to launch clean power sf. what i'm most excited about, it's going to bring 100% renewable energy to my home and reinvest into renewable energy infrastructure and jobs. i had gone to a lot of street fairs and heard from the staff at the san francisco public utilities commission to sign up for clean power sf even before it launched. >> we learned about clean power sf because our sustainability team is always looking for clean operations. linkedin is the largest online network. there are about 530 million members using our site. in this san francisco office there's about 1400 employees working in roughly 400,000 square feet. >> after signing up for the program we heard about the san francisco program and learned they had commercial rates and signed up for that. i'm the co-owner of the new wheel electric bike shop

francisco process development, it has been my honor to oversee such tremendous growth here in san francisco. i do want to recognize, and this is quite a long program, because it has taken us close to two decades to get to this milestone. many people were involved in making not just this terminal possible, but also this neighborhood possible. they have been recognized by state senator john burton. i just want to thank him because he not only fought to make sure that we were funding this terminal and the regional transportation network that would follow, we fought to ensure that this neighborhood would exceed any type of affordable housing standard that had ever been achieved before, which is 35% of low income working in class and middle class housing in this neighborhood. it is so important that as we build, we build a neighborhood that includes all people from those who were formerly homeless, to middle-class families and to the many workers in this region today. it is also been mentioned several times, but i want to thank our leader, nancy pelosi who has never missed a milestone in the cen

we are closing our programs at the san francisco zoo. [inaudible] >> -- but also, public speaking skills with the public. we also had over 1700 zoo campers this summer, which was a record for us. the zoo does offer scholarships and other financial aid for families who need help with transportation or other costs associated with our programs for the summer. and speaking of volunteers, the does are turning 50. some of them are retiring. i think they're pleased to hear that 50 is the new 40. they're mainly volunteers that -- retirees that volunteer their time. many of the docents are retire teachers, so we'll get a chance to celebrate them in september, so thank you to our docents. we have over 25,000 members, and on tuesday, september 18, i invite them to come speak with me, and we have a one-on-one -- it's a long day for the zoo director, but a lot of fun as well as i get comments from our members. i invite all who are a member of the zoo to come visit us on september 18. with that, i conclude my report. >> thank you very much. >> is ther

i amgen fer casarian and i work here at san francisco international airport. the idea for therapy dogs got started the day after 9/11. an employee brought his therapy dog to work after 9/11 and he was able to see how his dog was able to relieve passenger's jitter. when we first launched the program back in 2013, our main goal was to destress our passengers however what we quickly found is that our animals were helping us find a way to connect with our pang. passengers. we find there are a lot of people traveling through the airport who are missing their pets and who are on their road a lot and can't have pets and we have come in contact with a lot of people recently who have lost pet. >> i love the wag brigade. >> one of my favorite parts is walking into the terminals and seeing everybody look up from their device, today everybody is interacting on their cell phone or laptop and we can walk into the terminal with a dog or a pig and people start to interact with each other again and it's on a different level. more of an emotional level. >> i just got off an 11.
