susie steimle joins us live from fairfield with growing frustrations from retailers. susie? >> reporter: we've been calling this, if you look at the video you might call it brazen to, retail workers have another word for this. dh are eyth a ro >> when this type of brazen shoplifting takes place, store employees say they feel trapped. the shoplifters could be heard telling security, don't touch me, as they walked toward the parking lot with as many items of clothing they could carry. the security guard tried to stop them at the door but is shoved they load up their car taking time to grab whatever fell off of their pile of loot before taking off. debbie works in retail and says she has seen this before. >> reporter: have you seen people stealing? >> all the time. >> reporter: she says shoplifters have all the power and no store employees like her can't do anything to stop them so she tells her team it's not worth the risk to be a hero. >> we tell our associates , you greet the customer but you know, if you're not comfortable, back off. we want your safety first. >> reporter:

those inland spots, even fairfield, 70. a little cooler along the coast, less fog. we are going to see temperatures along the coast, 60s. and we are going to see the fog by lunchtime go away. the system to the south of us is breaking up the pres pattern. so with that said, as we go into friday, we are looking for more sunshine and warmer by if you degrees. upper 70s, maybe a couple low 80s. overnight, chilly, will see some lows in the upper 40s. maybe a little cooler than you might think for early may. you can see the cloud cover in san francisco, as well as oakland, san rafael. and by lunchtime it is mostly gone. this is an indication of the high pressure in the region. the high pressure is to the north, low pressure to the south. with that said, i think this is why the fog will wear off and this is not an issue. these are the forecast highs for tomorrow. noticed the oranges, that is interesting they have upgraded some reds in there also. so maybe it will be a little warmer than the low 80s tomorrow. we will see how that goes. right now upper 70s, low 80s at best.

looking at those heavier areas of rain from hercules up through the way how on up 80 eventually towards fairfield in vacaville, some heavy to moderate rainfall currently and also some very heavy rain just east of san ramon in ta sahar oh this is out heading towards areas east of mount blood just south of antioch now that's probably our heaviest area of rainfall across the bay at the moment, not far behind it though had just down to 80 a west of los altos is this heavy area of rain on the southern end of the peninsula pushing to the south and east all this energy is going make its way towards sunnyvale and a couple of minutes eventually over towards santa clara. and then out toward san jose. so you see those areas of rainfall pushing through in multiple waves just sweeping across the bay as we make our way through the latter part of the morning. rainfall activity for much of the bay area's actually going to calm down in the early afternoon that won't be the case though for the north bay which has its greatest potential of thunderstorms into the afternoon for areas like napa and sonoma counties fur
