i'm joined tonight by attorney mike papantonio, also host of the "ring of fire" radio show. mike, sort this out for us. what's at the crux of all of this? the interpretation of this law? >> well, it is. as a prosecutor, this -- zimmerman could be charged with premeditated murder, ed. there's no need for a grand jury. the grand jury is simply a way for the state attorney's office to cop out and to pass the buck on this one. premeditated murder, a plan to commit premeditated murder can take place in three to five minutes. it can be formulated in that short a time. the elements of premeditation certainly exist here. the child was running away, there was no question about it. he was running away from the point of conflict. the shooter had been clearly warned, don't pursue, we'll take care of it. let the professionals take care of it. and rather than the shooter having a reasonable fear of harm, and those are the key words, a reasonable fear of harm for himself, it's clear that there was abundant evidence that zimmerman was acting out of rage about this african-american child in

joining me now is mike papantonio, cohost of "ring of fire radio." thanks for being here, mike. >> how are you? >> i'm fine. let me t to the chase. who do you think leaked the story? >> i think it's scalia. i put scalia at the top of the leak possibility. there's a good reason for that. in 200 years, the supreme court has this history of showing a betterç decorum than we saw fr scalia. when have we ever seen a supreme court judge in a black robe act more like a politician than he does a judge? we saw this -- we saw scalia the day after this decision come out and basically accuse our president of being incompetent. he accused our president of not being able to understand the law. even though obama was a constitutional law professor at harvard. so i think this is a new precedent. we've never seen a judge move politically like this. >> and he did it in his writings. but this is all speculation. we don't know. this is just your guess. let me ask you whether scalia or some others are tweeting other members of the court, why would someone be talking at a

let's go back to mike papantonio. you've been critical of eric holder. he definitely stepped in the purging of what governor scott is doing down in florida. what is your take? >> he needed to, ed. the reason he reacted for vet reason that you stated in your opening statement on this -- in this show. that is we've shined light. you have shined light on it. rachael madow has shined light. eric holder has a great avenue open to him. he can start pulling the triggers now. he has to right now. look, scott has been told from the very outset, he's been told by his own secretary of state that, what we're doing is potentially illegal. we should not do it. >> hold it right there. that's what i want to bring up. why doesn't the justice department, if he's violating the voting rights act, why doesn't the justice department bring governor rick scott up on charges? >> they can. there is a lot of things they can do. the first thing that they can do is join this effort to try to stop this purge. they can do that immediately. one thing that scott didn't do and his own se
