chief meteorologist paul deanno is here with more. paul? >> liz, we're talking about above 1,000 feet in elevation, siesta north bay hills and east bay hills. that's where it will be windy and take the fire danger which is high anywhere in the bay area, but in the hills where it will be windy beginning tonight through sunday morning, that's going to drop the humidity because it's an offshore wind. the winds will be gusty 40 to 60 miles per hour. that will take the fire danger from high to critical. we've done this several times over the past couple weeks and we will continue to do it every time we get an offshore wind until it rains. when does that first decent rainfall occur? let's look at the past three years. 0.1-inch of rain or more was right around this time in 2017 and 2015. it was mid-october in 2016. i'm here to tell you that it looks very dry for at least the next week. so we will be past due when it comes to that first decent rainfall. that's what we need, though. we'll talk more about the seven- day forecast coming up in a few sh
