kristy seifkin is in oakland with more on who this man is. kristy, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, frank. yesterday morningers attended a rosary for 3-year-old carlos nava and today there will be a funeral for him at saint bernard's church a few blocks from the memorial where he was killed. it was a week ago that a stray bullet hit him in the neck. two other men were walking in front of him. they were also hit. they survived. police believe that the shooting was gang-related. this friday las vegas authorities arrested 22-year- old willie torrence of oakland. they believe he is responsible for driving the car the day of the shooting. he was out on parole for a prior violation and responded in las vegas while out driving. 26-year-old oakland resident lawrence dennard is the second man police believe was involved in the shooting. he was arrested in pittsburg on tuesday and thursday arraigned for one count of murder two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm. torrence will appear in a las vegas courtro

oakland police are here, quite a few of them. what they are doing, searching in that area across from where we are standing. that's where a driver ended up after he refused to stop off the 66th avenue off ramp. that's what police are telling us. the off ramp from southbound 880, that driver crashed his car there where you see investigators right now, ran into some bushes and trees, got out and ran. this was just about 20 to 30 minutes ago. oakland police are here physically searching the area around oak port. i spoke with chp. they are also out here assisting, searching along 880 southbound along the bushes. believes r told me hecc1: that police tried to pull the driver over at high street and oakland, perhaps for speeding, and that's when things got out of hand. emeryville police are here as well. they have a dog out here searching, they have got lights and what looks like a perimeter set up. i do want to mention that 880 southbound, that is closed right now as officers continue their search. i asked who it is they are lookin
