i'm john berman filling in for jake tapper. we do begin with the national lead. any moment from now we are spaeare' expecting new information on the deadly crash in the bronx that killed four people. the national transportation safety board holding a news conference, again, any minute, we will bring it to you live, the whole subject is something none of us wants to think about when we board a train. there are commuters who have taken the metro north hudson line literally hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, and yet yesterday, it all went awry when a train suddenly derailed on a sharp curve. all seven of the cars flying off the tracks. you can see the pictures right there. four people are dead, dozens more are injured. today, crews began righting the cars. they used enormous cranes to do this. investigators recovered two recorders from the wreckage so they can hopefully begin answering the many questions left in the aftermath. our own nic robertson is at the crash site in the bronx. we are expecting this news conference any

we're join by john berman and pamela brown. good morning. it's being called the miracle in the mountains a family of six out to play in the snow in nevada are rescued after two days stranded in bone chilling temperatures. and they are all said to be doing pretty well, especially when you consider the conditions. stephanie elam is telling us the mom and dad are being praised for keeping them alive. >> reporter: nice to start the day off with some good news. we're inside the pershing general hospital where the family is hopefully getting some much needed rest in a nice warm bed after two harrowing days out in some frigid temperatures. an incredible finale to a dramatic story of survival. a family of six including four young children were found alive and in fairly good condition tuesday after being stranded in the rugged winter rain of nevada's mountain range about 120 miles northeast of reno. family, friends and search teams said this rescue is truly a miracle. >> it was a huge relief. i was expecting the worst. >> it was the work of a lot of

steve from berman capital joined by john moore, senior retail analyst at bemo capital. kelly and i were talking earlier, she said what you feel, that there seementzs to be a tipping point toward online retailers. it's a paradigm shift. >> it's accelerated, but now a point where 130 million tablets that have been sold. everyone is buying iphones or cell phones. it's easier that way. you're seeing amazon sales have skyrocketed. they went from 31% in the second quarter to 39% in the third quarter and black friday their numbers were up 40%. what people don't realize is amazon is ten times the size of walmart's online business. the numbers are just amazing. >> does that mean john because so many people like to focus on amazon's valuation relative to lack of earnings do you bet on an amazon here? what are the ways to play this space? >> other things have you to look at you can still bet on bricks and mortar because a lot of those stocks are down and out. valuations are very cheap. expect taking expectations are really low. think about children's retailers this season, they've
