. >> we saw close to 9 inches of rainfall in millville. these are soaking rains, most of it has moved out of our area. this morning, ware dealing with lingering showers and light rainfall if you're closer to allentown. if you're in the city, you're not seeing rainfall at this time. mostly cloudy skies in philadelphia. let's take a closer look at the rainfall from allentown we're seeing more of a moderate rainfall. all seeing rain this morning, even stretching down to quakertown, parts of milford and as we head into the rest of the morning, welcomering showers is a possibility into the late morning hours. after that we are going to see things clearing up nicely. temperatures today will range between 81 and 84 degrees. we see more sunshine as we head into the afternoon. i'll let you know how long these cooler temperatures will stick around, coming up in my first alert seven-day forecast. for now, we send it back to you guys. >>> we continue to follow that breaking news in cumberland county. a lot of people have been forced from their homes a

inches in millville in a short period of time. this is the second highest daily rainfall together for that area. at this hour, some residents are still unable to return home. nbc 10's jesse gary has a look at the damage. >> reporter: the south jersey red cross says a total of three families were evacuated overnight during the early morning hours from rhonda drive here in millville. you can see the extreme damage to this home. the basement and the foundation. the video shows extensive damage from floodwaters and flooding during the early morning hours. additionally south jersey gas said three homes had gas leaks which eventually shut off. all heavy and fast, neighbors say there was no defense. >> it was just a torrential downpour for about four to five hours. there was nothing you could do. just hold on and look at the water rise. >> one woman was injured when she was sleeping in her basement like this and the floodwaters knocked in the wall collapsing it onto her. she was rushed over to cooper hospital and there with broken bones.
