doug: yes and yes. and i'm doug meehan. saturday, january 30. where has january gone, danielle. danielle: doug, antoinette, we here going into february. it won't look so bad as temperatures this morning are starting in the mid 30's on nantucket. the low 30's on the cape. low 30's in boston. but still in the interior, you're waking up to temperatures really in the 20's. now you might see some wind out there today or at least feel the wind. we have wind gusts in excess of about 25 miles an hour out in western mass. that is creating a bit of a wind chill. so if you are stepping outside the door right now, 24 degrees is what it feels like in boston. but it feels more like 11 degrees in worcester. as we go through the next 12 hours here's what's going to happen. we'll warm up. we'll see full sunshine through lunchtime or so and then the clouds increase through the afternoon. we are warming up into the upper 30's and low 40's for highs depending on where you live. you can see this 40 degrees through the merrimack valley. 40 in boston. also 40 on nantucket. but big changes are coming.

doug: and i'm doug meehan. it is saturday, january 30. although if you look at danielle's map coming up in a bit you would think it was more like march. danielle: that's right. as the temperatures warm up in the 40's today and 50's by sunday. yes, you can can you believe it? we are warming things up quite a bit. 32 right now this morning in boston. but it's still in the 20's in worcester and in orange and in keene. be aware of that. there is wind out there this morning as well. you can see winds sustained in worcester at 22 miles an hour, in boston at 13 miles an hour. that is creating a bit of a wind chill so it still feels like the teens in worcester. at least this morning. so make sure if you're headed out the door, you bundle up. going to warm up in boston into the upper 30's, pushing 40 degrees. notice lots of sunshine to start. clouds increase this afternoon. you'll feel those winds pretty much all day. the weekend forecast, 40 today but look at sunday. 50 degrees. we're not done with the warmth yet. we'll talk about how much warmer

i'm doug meehan. that is a good morning. antoinette: oh, yes. i'm antoinette antonio. if we're not here tomorrow morning. doug: we bought a ticket together. antoinette: you know where we will be. but until then, mike wankum joins us now with a check on the weather. you know, we're already feeling a little bit lucky with this record warmth. mike: talk about great numbers but there is one little issue we have this morning. that's this area on the eastern side of the berkshires. what's happening there is just a and light snow. you may see slippery conditions. this goes until 10:00 this morning. here's why. look at the temperatures. boston 39 degrees. but inland we're seeing temperatures very close to that freezing mark. that's why we've been picking up just a little bit of spotty activity showing up on radar. it is really light stuff. it is not very well organized. here you seal a little bit of light snow just to the west along 495 through fitchburg. area. just be kawsh ug. slippery out there. you want to be cautious as we head through the morning because by this afternoo

doug: and i'm doug meehan. the storm moving off the coast but there are still concerns out there this morning. we have live team coverage. look at 'em all. we're going to begin with team danielle, take it away. all yours. danielle: we do have snow still ongoing at this hour. you can see especially for you folks along the cape and the islands, but everybody else mess. we picked up quite a bit of snow depending on where you live. now on the cape and east falmouth picking up 15.3 inches of snow. on the vineyard about 15 inches of snow and still snowing for you folks there. so you may add a little bit more to this number. as far as in plymouth, about 8.5 inches of snow. in boston this is at about midnight 6.1 inches of snow. it got as far north as tops field seeing three inches of snow there. we do still have the winter storm warning for our coastal communities along the south coast as well as the south coast of even parts of southeastern mass and the islands. that is until 7:00 this morning because, of course, we'
