hillary clinton and bernie sanders will take to the stage. they're going to grapple in their final debate before the all-important new york primary on tuesday. it's a face-off that comes at a very crucial juncture in this campaign, as you look at pictures of inside of the hall. and on one side, you have hillary clinton, who has won more delegates. more popular votes. and more states. and then on the other side, you've got bernie sanders, who has won eight of the past nine contests. in other words, this is about math versus momentum. and in the past few days, both campaigns have ramped up their attacks, hitting each other harder on character and on policy. take a listen to this. >> our job is to stand up to these powerful special interests, not to take their money. >> under the bright spotlight and scrutiny here in new york, senator sanders has had trouble answering questions. >> i don't think you are qualified if you have supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement. >> seriously, i've been called a lot of things. over the years. but

how does it look for bernie sanders? >> before we get to the delegate map, these are very important numbers. that's statewide number, if she keep that percentage up in the congressional district. the democratic rules are so generous to the person who comes in second, that hillary clinton not only needs to be above 50% of the districts, she actually needs to be closer to 60% to get, if there's six delegates in a district, if you're close to 60%, if you're around 55%, you split the delegates. the delegate math could be different than the final vote math, but to jeb's point, let's come over and switch this to the democratic race. this starts to get hard. then the question is she believes she's going to have a very strong night next tuesday and in scenario, we give bernie sanders rhode island. the clinton campaign thinks they can win connecticut, pennsylvania, maryland, and delaware, and if you're out to an area now, remember, 225 to start the night, 229, they think they can be out in the 280 area by the end of the night tom

as expected, bernie sanders won yesterday's democratic caucus in wyoming. though the two candidates will split the state's 14 pledged delegates evenly. and hillary clinton already has the support of four superdelegates. but today, both candidates are already looking ahead to bigger prizes further down the campaign trail. hillary clinton is getting a head start on maryland's april 26th primary, and its 95 available delegates with a rally at 2:30 today in baltimore. but she still has her eye on the next big contest in new york on april 19th. and bill clinton will be campaigning there for her at two events in new york city today. meanwhile, bernie sanders will wrap up his third straight day of campaigning in the empire state with a rally in coney island at 2:00 p.m. sanders is trailing hillary clinton by 18 points in a new primary poll released by emerson college. but those numbers are a big improvement for sanders who narrowed that margin from a 48-point gap in new york last month. now, the dems are duking it out for a whopping 247 delegates at stake in the n
