claudine wong with all of that. >> this is interesting from both sides. a look at where the delegate count stands as of right now. let's start with the republicans because, of course, senator ted cruz won last week in wisconsin. but if you take a look the numbers, you can see there is still a sizable lead. now, they need 1237 to clench this nomination. trump has 743. cruz has 545. kasich has 143 and it goes down from there. but here's what's important, that it is a near possibility with the delegates to get to the 1237 before the convention. trump can do it, but it would be close. let's move to the democrats to show you what's happening there. in this case magic number is 2383 delegates. clinton has 1756. bernie sanders 1068. but there is a lack of winner take all states on the democratic side, which makes closing this gap actually even tougher for sanders. and they are you have got these 712 super delegates. most have pledged their support to clinton. 469 have. sanders has 31. but we should say they could change their minds, than could happen if sanders

claudine wong back in the studio now. is this an invasion of privacy? >> reporter: that's the debate. and new york is trying to figure out if this is is going to go forward. this textalyzer works like a breathalyzer. it can be used on the spot to see what a driver has been doing. textalyzer tell you if the driver has been texting behind the wheel. it is sometimes difficult to figure that out in the case of an accident. ben and debbie lieberman's 19- year-old son was killed five years ago and they say the driver who caused that crash was tegsing and driving, but it took months to figure it out. >> we subpoenaed the phone records on own through our own civil lawsuit. took us six months to get the record. we found texting through the drive leading up to the crash. >> reporter: they have been working with new york state lawmakers on this new bill that allow officers to use this textalyzer. if you have never heard of it it's still being developed. it scans your phone and that determines if you were texting at the time of the accident or before the accident.

. >> claudine wong back in the studio to talk to us about what president obama is doing for today and the high tech companies that now say they pay women and men the same. >> we're expecting president obama to speak in the next 45 minutes or so about equal pay day. it's a day designed to show how many extra days women have to work to equal what men make. this year it's on a tuesday. to show how far in to this work week that women have to work to earn what men earned last week. here's another way to look at the gap. according to a new report out this week called gender pay inequality, when compared with men in comparable jobs, a women's meaning earnings are about $10,800 less per year. if you spread that over 40 years of work, that adds up to a gap of more than $400,000. things have gotten better since the equal pay act was passed in 1963. back then women earned 59 cents for every dollar earned by men. according to the study, black women make 66 cents on every dollar earned by white men and a latino woman only earns 59 cents. facebook says it pays all employees the same for the jobs th

i'm claudine wong. >>> good morning. i'm dave clark. let's talk about weather and traffic. steve paulson is over there. will we see any son? >> maybe a little bit. this weekend. >>> thank you. we have mostly cloudy skies. a lot of high-end mid-level clouds streaming over today. it's been a week of low clouds or high clouds or a combination of both. morning rain, not a lot. 3 am through 7 am. it will be gone tomorrow. cooler and breezy. the weekend will rebound. temperatures will warm up. 70s and 80s on sunday. cloud cover will filter through. we may get some sun later this afternoon before the system swings through. a mostly cloudy morning. 40s and 50s on temperatures. mid 40s in the peninsula. upper 40s for others and low 50s , 53 in san mateo. a west wind, southwind, a little component of an onshore breeze. look for high clouds in the morning and mostly sunny this afternoon before a system dives in late tonight into two more. temperatures will be in the 60s for everybody. look for increasing clouds and we will talk about the system coming in tonight or tomorrow. >>> tomor
