it's being led by stocks like unh. this is the best-performing stock up just like microsoft, 1,000% from the 2009 low. it's a defensive take. so how do we get from where we are today to 30,000? what's the next leg here? without further ado, jpmorgan chase, financial, from rising rates, rising reflation, less regulation, and lower taxes. you can see the base breakout here. you're up 24% from the election alone. so maybe you think you missed it here. but you haven't. and here's why. look at this long-term chart here. this is 17 years, a double bottom base breakout to a 17-year high with interest rates going higher. the curve getting steeper. taxes coming down and regulations in an industry which has been under a cloud of scrutiny for the better part of the last decade are eroding, all of which suggest that financials like jpmorgan chase, like goldman sachs, can move higher here. and can carry us to that next leg of another bull market. >> i'm not even going to ask. i'm going to invite him over. >> yep, bang! >> yeah. com

unh is break out on the upside. regardless of what happens with the affordable health plan, this is a stock that's traded well over the last couple of weeks. even if crude oil goes sideways to slightly lower, i think they still work. we've talked about anadarko petroleum. that stock, which is probably trading around 70 bucks, has an 80 handle in its future. >> i've been a repeat buyer of the s&p. i bought spiders. coming out of the election i bought eem and was shocked that eem hung in there in a rising rate environment. that tells me when it doesn't go down on what's supposed to be bad news, it's bullish for that. >> i bought two things. i bought goalar, an energy play that moves with oil but a so not related to oil price. a lot of good things have happened there, bought some today. i also bought coors. >> not the beer. >> not the beer. what's out of favor is interesting to me. >> steve mentioned emerging markets. the currency, the dollar should have been enough to see asia. despite what happened in china, i agree

what's not to like, unh? next up, boeing up since the election. before then, its stock had been marking time for the last three years as the whole negative narrative of the 787 dreamliner had to play out, and it turns out the woes of that plane just aren't that significant to the bottom line anymore. it's the change in demand from large body to small body aircraft and the company margin compression that really hurt boeing stock of late, not demand. there's plenty of demand. but that's now in the past, and we're starting to see the gigantic cast conversion that comes from selling these narrow body planes for what aamounts to a hefty profit. it's incredible how much stock the company can buy back. it just put through a 30% dividend boost, far more than anyone thought they'd do. that's the kind of thing that makes you want to hang in there, not sell. plus the demand for planes out five years is extraordinary as more parts of the developing world join the middle class. boeing has got a lot more run way ahead of it, especially after three years of rest
