>>> we begin with breaking news in durham as the parent of 3-year-old leslie ramirez speak out for the first time since their little girl was found dead earlier this week. cbs north carolina is covering is the family saying? >> yeah. it was very emotional for this family right now. they're trying to deal with the loss of this little girl. 3-year-old leslie ramirez. a spoke person for the family says there were three dulls in the van with leslie and her siblings while they were out during the day monday runninger rands and grabbing food to eat. the mother says around 3 p.m. they parked the van in four hours later leslie's father came home from work and found his daughter still inside the van. he tried to save her but it was too late. leslie's mother says it was truly an accident. >> it was an accident. not even a mother will plan or desires for their child. i love and still ve daughter. it was truly an accident. i love my daughter. a mother will not like to kill her children. >> as this family is trying to deal with the pain they're trying to raise thousands of dollars for her funeral.

. >>> we start with breaking news in durham. >> police on the scene of a suspicious death. a child found dead in a car near downtown. amy cutler just arriving on scene.>> reporter: sharon and investigating this suspicious death. you can see some ambulances coming through here as investigators work together -- work to gather whatever evidence they can. a neighbor said she called 911, that she saw a child in the back of a minivan. that black minivan in the parking lot of that apartment complex, she says she saw a child in a man first came to the vehicle but the child was inside. she believed the child, a little girl between four and five, have been in the back of the car for some time. at this point, police are not confirming any of this. they say they were called to the 1100 block of curbside drive around seven for a cardiac arrest. when they arrived, the person was unresponsive and died a check in on what neighbors and that woman who called 911 have told us, we have not heard back. we will follow the story closely and bring you updates as they become available. amy cutler,
