this is far greater than hurricane katrina. we are look at something that would be brought about technological disaster that would be comparable to war. one of the problems with spent fuel is it's sort of unresolved is the fact that the nuclear regulatory commission has been allowing the reactor operators to irradiate the fuel longer by increasing the amount of uranium 235 from about 3 1/2 to almost 5 percent in content. what this does is it builds up a great deal more radioactivity products as well as fissile materials and this stuff is very hot, and the nrc does not have a technical basis to support the safe transport of this material, and it's likely to be trapped at reactor sites until we figure out whether this stuff can be safely moved. what the research is showing that the longer you keep the stuff in a reactor and irradiate, the thinner it becomes, the more likely it corrodes. it becomes very vulnerable to movement and vibrations, and so -- there's no technical basis in terms of information to tell you about the levels

his home was damaged during katrina. it was under 12 feet of water. once the water receded it was damaged. the legs of this had broken off. the entire piano was just really in a horrible way. it had been conserved but it's not playable. it's been conserved and brought back to its original appearance. they said that if they tried to make it play, it would not have been the same piano so we didn't want to lose the nature of the piano. >> fats domino was from new orleans. he influenced really all of early rock 'n roll. he was really one of his biggest fans. he came here in 65 i believe. they asked if they could meet with fats domino and there's the famous photo of the beatles with fats domino. he had many friends, many musicians he performed with or who stayed with him during his career, they went on to influence many of the others. they created their own music and their own band. they had a strong influence on the music here in new orleans. less than a year ago was a major blow to the city, and to his family of course, he left a wonderful legacy though.

in 2004, katrina hit in 2005. let me just say 67,000 kids in new orleans schools, probably 85% to 90% african-american in our public schools. of course we're in the south so after brown versus board of education, coming back realizing everybody should be on the page here. but every city in the south, this happened in many cities around the country. our public school system is predominantly african-american. in 2004 there were 60% of our children that went to school in new orleans and schools ranked in the lowest 10%. okay? 60% of our kids in new orleans in 2004 were in schools that ranked at the lowest 10% in the state. in 2017 last year, only 11% did. that is how much growth we have achieved in a decade. moving our poorest kids still on $9,000 a year. that hadn't changed. with a little bit more bells and whistles we've been able to put together about it. moving them from failing to succeeding. we have one high school in new orleans that's 100% virtually african-american. the graduation rate used to be at that sch
