but with katrina, we've seen a big lift in the president's approval rating. there's slight decline in the president'laapprovating last week. to me the tribal warre has become so rigid it's almost as if nothing can movanything. while we see images which should be horrific of anybody of any political persuasion, it doesn't seem to move politics. >> i think that's right. the place where i want to pus on this -- and it's not about the politics, but it's about the false choice weare being offered. what the trump administration said is we have two choices, one is we can treat families unimaginably cruelly by separating them from their children or detaining the whole family for as long as they want to, or we cannot enforce our laws. both to have the first two options are illegal. courts ruled against the indefinite detention of the family and sparating children from the family, at this point. they're doing somethinnow is not allowed by the courts. they're saying, on the other hand, we have to enforce the law. we could give ankle bracelets which we've done before. fo
