pennsylvania's 14 state universities are set to strike in the morning. live at west chester university tonight is action news reporter jeanette reyes. it seems like a strike is now unavoidable. >> reporter: it certainly is. in just a matter of hours the state system will see the first strike it's ever had in its history. this will impact more than 100,000 students, and many of them telling me they have questions about graduating on time, their grades, and even financial aid. earlier this afternoon more than two dozen faculty members trickled into a the main hall for talks about the impending strike tomorrow morning that includes over 5,000 union faculty at 14 universities and colleges across the state. on the outside students were nervous, confused, and mostly out of the loop because of a news blackout. >> from what i've heard it's all all students shouldn't go to class. >> they said we are chosed to show up. >> we don't know. that's frustrating. >> reporter: for the past year the state system and the faculty union have been at odds over health care coverage and work rules.
