immigrated to this neighborhood can't even live there anymore and living in areas like in stockton, valejo and they're commuting. i live in a household with multiple generations and me, who's been living here, and my wife, who works here, we're planning to have a family and hopefully have a place for us to stay in live in san francisco. it's not just me but i represent many young adults trying to raise their kids in this community where we were born and raised here, right? and this site does not show that this is helping us. this is actually encouraging us to leave and forcing us to leave because we can't afford luxury housing. what we need is 100% affordable housing to appreciate our families, our immigrant families and the current people living in san francisco. you guys all know that san francisco den, there's a problem regarding affordable housing and this is something we want to work together with you in finding a solution, a better solution and not 65 ocean because this is not it. so what we encourage you guys, if we can have a planning commission hearing in the neighborhood on the 6

there's a vacant restaurant on the corner of valejo and grant and the person reached out to me and i was calling the health inspector, can you get there this week? that shouldn't be the job of a lelegislator. there's no amount of legislation that will make them permitting these in tandem and if tha if ay pay full straight, then there should be no shortage of staff to do that, but the reality is, those staff do the most lucrative projects first. so they're busy processing huge downtown office developments, instead of dealing with 85%, which are in small business and they're not in the central and financial districts south of market and i wanted to set that right. i think that, as i said, in the beginning, i want to sincerely thank supervisor brown and her staff for working with her staff and my staff over what was the original staff as to what was just introduced now. i think that was really very good work and i think that while the original legislation was well intended, the amendments, almost all of which i support, make it better. so i also, as no secret, i think we should do some

i serve on a transit board in valejo and i like to let you know the power you held, as a city that is a leader in transit, and i would love to see you lead in transit. i would love to see a plan where cars were no longer prioritytized. cars are not equitable. it takes a lot of money to own one. if you don't earn that money or have a lot of wealth, you can't earn a car and then your options are public transit, walking, bicycles, scooters. thoswhen you don't prioritize te types of transit and make them first, you're discriminating against the people who voted for you, against the people who live in your community. it's up to all of you to make a difference in this and it goes beyond just protected bike lane and means prioritizing equitable transit first. we also have a climate crisis across the entire planet. this city will be largely under water if nothing is done. you have an opportunity to be leader and take this forward and try to show the entire country how to really do transit the right way. i'm not a resident, but i am a resident of bay area city and this follows what you do and
