veenstra. >> thank you, congresswoman. i strongly support this motion which will put a pause on the massive spending bill and give congress more time to study the effects it will have on american workers and mainstream businesses like the ones in rural iowa. in their attempt to fast-track to this bill in congress i'm deeply concerned that democrats are losing working-class americans in the dust and itng clearly have not taken adequate time to study the potential long-term effects of this bill. committees rejected all attempts to include long-standing federal policies protecting life by allowing federal dollars to be spent on abortions. it is chock full of job killing policies that will prevent our economy from getting back on track and it drastically expands on employment benefits meaning more than half of americans would be incentivized to not return to worke when these benefits pain more than their jobs and in rural america we are fighting for workers and continuing these expanded benefits and it only slows down economic
