The U.S. Senate Archive is one of several collections of TV news clips featuring public officials, with related fact-checks. The Trump Archive, launched in January 2017, was the first such collection. While largely curated by hand, these collections demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence algorithms could be used to create such resources, for example with voice and/or facial recognition.  A work in progress, these evolving non-commercial, searchable collections are designed to preserve the historical record for posterity. This Sunday-morning public-affairs institution is network TV's oldest program, but it's certainly no dinosaur as it continues to be a prime forum for newsmakers (domestic and foreign) wanting to make announcements or test political waters. The series, in which guests are questioned by the moderator and a panel of journalists, began its life in prime time in November 1947.
